Infotainment System Restarting endlessly
What do u mean troublesome cars. What would worry me is if the infotainment was restarting it be very hard to prove to dealer unless they can do it. It be a waste of time and probably charge a diagnostic fee for looking at it for 5 mins. And I'd be living with it for a few yrs

Infotainment System Restarting endlessly
Skoda octavias mk4 r very popular looking at auto trader Volkswagen golf more same infotainment system I'd honestly say its pretty normal not every1 is complaining about it. Only the early versions. After the softwares updates and reading the forum. alot say it's fixed. I hope I would be worried about the 2020 and 2021 cars with the old modules . But could be fine only skoda will know

What year is ur car? I seriously thinking about getting a skoda but the new 2024 face lift too looks great so might haven to wait another yr but I probably won't. I really don't want to get the pre 2023 face lift 😞

Update to Version 1969
No idea but I think its a trip to the dealer to re flash it. Unless u know how to reflash via obd

Update to Version 1969
I would delete the update on the computer re download it format a genuine usb stick hence the genuine and tap retry. If that doesn't work I would disconnect the battery for a few hours with the lights on and try again. Then I be shaking Ur obviously computer illiterate if u tryed a ssd. The engineering menu has 4 options ones to update and reflash and ones to boot normal

Update to Version 1969
Is there a reset button? Sounds to me is this is a really simple fix or ur infotainment is goosed. Id try the reset button if there is one using a paper clip. Maybe there's an engineering safe mode? There is a hidden menu option holding down the menu setup button to update from there but this is for the superb and maybe different to the octavia but It's the same infotainment
