  1. Not the best option, but, worth a try, maybe? Just take the manufacturer plate off, especially if you're gonna scrap it afterwards... Take it to another MOT station, and because they can't find the plate they should apply the generic limit, 3 for a turbocharged diesel vehicle. That being said i don't live in the UK so no idea if not having that plate will cause any other problems for you. I suppose that if you don't re-register the car or do any modifications that would have to be legalized, it shouldn't matter..
  2. See this video, had the same problem, just resoldered the motor joints and works fine since then. It is cracked it will be bearily noticeable, should use a magnifier to check it.
  3. Did yoy change just the motor or the electronic part also? In my case had something similar happening, turns out it was a cracked soldering. Just resoldered and it works as new now. See this video:
