  1. I tried that, didn't work. Breakdown man got it running, but said I need a new ignition barrel. Just wondering if that worked for anyone?
  2. I have this issue all the time but today it just would not turn. I have given myself blisters trying to turn it and can't get it to start Now awaiting breakdown people. Did anyone replace their lock and did the problem persist after?
  3. Hi Catwoman. Mine is a 2009....so older than yours. The pins with the bit in the middle took a bit of a beating as hard to get out. But I didn't find brittleness a problem.
  4. Hi - yes the clip number is the same for both sides. I got mine from the EU and it cost me EUR20 in all for 2. I didn't need them in the end as it had just fallen down, so now I have 2 for backup! I got them from skoda-parts.com
  5. This was super helpful and has saved me a few quid. Definitely super fiddly and those plastic pins with the central pin you have to pull out have taken a beating, but still do the job. I couldn't work out how to secure it with a cable tie, but at least I know that if it happens again, I will know exactly what to do to sort it. Thank you so much. I feel super proud of myself today for having done this.
  6. I have this same problem. I bought a new boot cover but that doesn't work either. I will take a photo and post here.
  7. Hi Plimsol No, I haven't done anything yet as both the light and the window have been ok recently. If you decide to get yours looked at, please do let me know the solution. Thanks Jo
  8. Hi HTB Did you change the motor yet? I am keen to know whether it worked before I go to my mechanic armed with this forum thread! Thanks Jo
  9. Hi Sepluchrave As I am not a mechanic or understand cars, I do not understand your response. Are you talking about the boot or the door lock issue? Can you explain a bit more please? In layman's terms. Thanks
  10. Thanks HTB. I will await your response. Now all I need to do is work out why the boot won't open unless I open a rear door first!!! Thanks
  11. I have this same problem - the doors open dashboard light keeps coming on, even when all doors are closed, accompanied by the occasional dinging sound. As the dashboard lights are on, it seems as though the interior overhead lights read that doors are open and stay on as well. I simply turned that off. Recently, I see that the electric window controller on the driver side will not function for the window on the passenger side but the passenger side window button still works. Today whilst driving, the passenger window started going up and down of its own accord which would not be ideal if it was raining. Reading through this post, do you think these issues are linked? I am not a mechanic so will have to take the car to the mechanic but if anybody on here has experienced this and knows the solution, it would be good so that I could let them know and save myself a few bob with them having to do lots of exploration. Thanks

Hi folks I am the proud owner of a 2009 Fabia - which I have had from new after scrapping my old Citroen under the scrappage scheme. I don't use it so much, living in London - its just about on 50,000 miles - one careful lady owner? Jo
