  1. Just added a couple more images and updated the MOT info as it now has a new clean no advisories 12 months of MOT
  2. The plugs are under the seat beneath a flap of carpet - they are very secure it would be hard to imagine them coming loose on their own however they could have been unplugged. The absolute easiest way to see it is to remove the 4 fixing bolts for the seat rails and tilt the seat back so it's laying on the rear seat then access to the plugs and the relay is super easy, you do need the spline tool to be able to do this however - they are not too expensive on eBay. Otherwise it's tricky for access with the seat still in place but not impossible.
  3. The relay is not too expensive, loads of them on eBay, and it's not too tricky to replace so it's worth trying that first.
  4. I think it's normally Just over 50 on the motorway, I have never towed a caravan we just have a small camping trailer but this summer with a roof box and bike on the roof and the trailer with 3 bikes on top of it it as more like half that I think. Hope that helps.

  6. Lots of these are available from breakers on eBay, sometimes listed as BCM, you will need to get the correct part number from your existing one to match it correctly. It is relatively straightforward to swap - it just plugs in but it's a little tricky to get to.
  7. My friend in the motor trade says they almost always write off flood damaged cars even fairly new because it's so tricky to know it's totally fixed, more issues can keep appearing months later as the water damage continues to eat into electronic boards etc so the insurance company prefer to draw a line under it and pay out. That said it may well be possible to fix more cheaply if you have some knowledge, time, and can find a breaker for cheaper parts.
  8. The airbag fault will only show if you turn on the ignition before plugging the airbag connection in. You can also disconnect the battery to prevent it. Are you sure you needed to remove the glove box? I changed mine on my back under the dash in 2 minutes with no tools needed - it just twisted to release. Perhaps some models differ.
  9. My bodyshop could not fit the one I got new from eBay for about £100 it was shocking how poor the fit was - about 1cm too small at the rear. I bought a genuine one from a breaker in a different colour for about £80 and they painted and fitted it no problem.
  10. Keep us posted on how easy that turns out to be.
  11. Slarti, That would be amazing if that solved it, I'm waiting eagerly to find out what happens with the new battery.
  12. I had this same issue and it was the ballast, you can pick one up cheaply on eBay as it's a common part with many other cars. fitting is a bit involved as the headlight needs to come out so the front bumper needs removing.
  13. The instructions that came with mine say make sure your fluid is clean or the replacement can fail quickly. Not sure how to test this but after 3 times in 5 years it may be worth a flush and refill? This is the best video I have found on how to do the job, it's in German but Youtube subtitles can Auto translate.
  14. Per, that does look easier with the whole section removed from the car. Can I ask did you get to it from above or remove the tray and get to it from below? Also having just done the job what do you think would be easier above or below?
  15. No wonder it's not very good if they have Bear's doing it, it's hard to hold a shovel with paws.
