  1. Is that separate from Amazon Flex then?? https://flex.amazon.co.uk/requirements
  2. someone somewhere would still complain if all cars were legislated to be like this
  3. and it's exactly for this reason that the Government are targeting "Zero Emissions at the Tailpipe" rather than "Zero Emissions per vehicle built"
  4. Surely if the government was serious about its zero emissions at the tail pipe policy then cheap Chinese imported EVs are a good thing to help get those horrible nasty patrol and diesel powered things of the road………..
  5. Hopefully the pikeys will find ev chargers a more lucrative target. nothing worse than a network outage caused by them ripping “cables” out only to find they’re fibre not copper
  6. I’ve just realised something. does this mean Openreach are looking to flog all their old copper to EV charger manufacturers as they switch to fibre?
  7. Love how the battery pack slides out so it can be charged in the house https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0PcPJbZLXM
  8. Not the paler way de Nile style green coloured Shoveits many RAF MT drivers learnt to drive in then
  9. Odd, its listed on the SEAT UK website (and in th ebuild configurator with a 2.0 Diesel https://www.seat.co.uk/new-cars/tarraco/overview.html? EDIT : ah a subsequent post already said that lol
  10. I am reminded of this classic episode of Yes Prime Minister
  11. @Danoid replacement throttle body and associated recoding
  12. Look to the skies ;o) But in case you missed it there has been some unusually strong solar activity over the weekend. Not saying you may/may not have other issues but given the timing........................................
  13. Will ask him tomorrow (they weren’t able to drop off this afternoon but that doesn’t bother me) as I can’t remember whether they were swapping the entire throttle body out or if there’s a sensor pack on there that can be swapped out.
  14. Cardiff Bus has been 100% owned and run directly by Cardiff Council from 1902 right to the present day. The arrowed are the sort of ones I drove in the mid to late 90's EDIT L-R Leyland Lynx, Optare Metrorider , Volvo Aisla (front engined and kin hot in the summer)
  15. Luxury. When I worked at Cardiff Bus we had to start our own busses and just bloody freeze lol
  16. Just had a text from Andy at AudiSaab, all sorted and they're dropping it back off to me this PM
  17. Next trick from the government will be to increase the fuel duty on diesel and petrol to make EVs appear cheaper to run
  18. If it wasn't for the Government setting artificial sales target to try & meet spurious emission requirements then we may have seen some mass market PHEVs,HEVS & MHEVs hell we might even have seen some High end luxury sports BEVs but we wouldn't be hurtling towards the kluster**** we are now with people offsetting or what not because of those artificial government targets, regardless of which government!! The way its going the only car manufacturers that are left will be the new Chinese ones cos they aint making ICE cars so will always hit 100% ZEV sales
  19. cheese & rice , can you not tell when the mickey is being taken or is that soap box so far inside of you
  20. Of course it does but it will be German Japanese Chinese French etc manufacturers paying the fines for not hitting targets not out glorious British car industry
  21. Just as well we (in the UK) haven't got a (mass) car industry that would be adversely impacted by trying (and failing) to hit the artificial targets set by the Government in regards to zero emission vehicles (not Electric Vehicles).......................................
  22. My first car was an old beetle with 6v electrics. I had a secondary 12v to make sure it started
