I think we have finally cracked it!! I ordered one of these last week from Burteq in Chechia. https://burteq.com/products/octavia-4-memory-module?variant=48608674808132https://burteq.com/products/octavia-4-memory-module?variant=48608674808132 I installed it today and followed the instructions like disconnect the battery first and expect loads of scary faults on reconnection! I have only driven it a couple of times but it seems to be working!! It sets the memory for stop/start and lane assist when they are disabled via the touchscreen. I haven't tried the driving mode or forward assist as they don't bother me but the stop/start was massively frustrating. It took about 15 minutes to install on my 2023 octavia VRS diesel estate, quite fiddly due to the position of the module but really straightforward after watching the video. Here is to just getting in a car and driving it again without having to reprogram it before every journey!!

Hi Carlston I finally managed to get my rear wheel off (got round to upgrading to a spare wheel kit!) and found my existing spring is black and the sticker says it is 5Q0511115. These numbers all seem to end in 21. I looked on GKNs website but it only comes up with 1 standard replacement but no upgrade options. Do you have any ideas on this?

Thanks for that Dave, I just looked online for those and found helper springs which go inside the original spring, not as easy as assister to install but I may try both as they seem to give help when loaded.

Hi I have a 2023 Octavia estate VRS diesel, I use it for work and carry a lot of weight in the boot. The rear wheel clearance is really low whereas the fronts have loads of clearance! It's not 4x4 so I struggle to get it off the line and it will be wearing the rear tyres on the inside. Has anyone fitted heavy duty rear springs or is there a relatively simple way of raising the rear?
