My only reason for nut suspecting that, is the fault codes on the flaps. My reasoning was "if the heater matrix or silica is bad, then the flaps wouldn't give a fault code". But i am only guessing.

Short update, will try to get a better look at the car this weekend. I sometimes get hot air on the passenger side too, but it seems random. It has happened two times the last week, car is in use daily.

I was a little to late to edit the post, here's some additional info: I've also cycled all different settings a few times. Airflow seems normal in all wents, but cold on the passenger side. After clearing codes I started the car and tried calibration again, codes went away after a DTC clear, but it still blows noticable cold on passenger side.. I swapped a faulty blower motor 6 months ago, if that's relevant in any way. Read codes again after running it for a while, and they came back.

Hello dear friends. I'm posting in hope of any help with the following. Suddenly my Skoda Octavia 2016 2.0 TDI 4x4 Scout with 300.000km on it started blowing cold air on the passenger side, no matter what temp it was set to. I tried the calibration trick in hopes of it just being a calibration issue, but 10-15 calibrations later, its still stuck. I've read out the following fault codes with VCDS: 329477 - Motor for Fresh Air / Recirculated Air Flap B108B 54 [00001001] - Missing Calibration / Basic Setting and 329479 - Position Sensor for Fresh/Recirculated Flap Motor B109B 15 [00001000] - Open or Short to Plus I've tried reading about this, but what I've found indicates the whole flap assembly needs replacing and a lot of the dash has to come out to remove it? Do you have any suggestions for me to try?

Any other suggestions to this? I haven't used the car a lot so there's hasn't been any lights lately, As far as I can tell, It tends to light the warning lights when just started cold, or after an hours time when warm. Coils and plugs are as stated above just recently changed. I will do a fuel filter replacement soon too, but i doub't thats my perpretrator. I have a suspicion towards the intake manifold having a large carbon build up, but I can't really tell for sure without actually removing it.

I am in Norway @Ootohere, our fuel is unleaded 95 octane E10. Anything else is practically impossible for me to get my hands on. Considering doing a workshop visit, but diagnosing this would likely be very expensive. I tried doing a compression test, but I think my test Gauge is faulty, as it wouldn't move at all, on any cylinder, or my snowblower 😂

short update to this problem. I could seemingly drive for half an hour without anything happening, but suddenly today, EPC and Engine Warning Light came on and the car was bogging a lot. No warning, just suddenly seemed to start misfiring. I've looked fairly thourougly for vacum leaks, but I can not hear, see or feel any, and I tried spraying start gas around all vacum connectors without any results. I had one leak suspicion and sealed it properly (plastic had a crack, just taped it up). Did a new readout of codes now after the fault came back again, and this is what it reads: It's usually only cylinder 1 this happens on. I've previously also tried swapping coils and spark plugs with no different result. I've also been reading everything I can find about theese 1.4 TSI engines, and it seems like carbon buildup on the intake is a common problem. Is there any point in trying to add injector cleaner to the fuel? Could vaccum cause misfires on only one cylinder? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

So. heres an update. The "only" problem here was a corrupt VIN in the instrument cluster. The Key Tech coded the Instrument cluster back in with correct VIN, and it solved all the problems that occured half a year ago. Two Skoda Dealership Workshops overlooked this (Even when told a key programming had induced the faults) and two other workshops also overlooked this. Simple fault, and fooled to look in all the wrong places as the instrument cluster did not give ANY fault codes at all. Finally..

EPC light comes on now and then, sometimes also the yellow engine warning light with it. Engine gets jerky but drivable, but a stop and start usually clears it and I can drive normally. This has happened with both warm and cold engine, with full throttle, on low throttle and in everything from -20 to +25 degrees Celsius. I had a similar problem this winter (though car just barely could go forward when EPC light came on), but it stopped after swapping the coils. So all four coils are just 6 months old, I've barely used the car, and they've been used maximum 5000km.. After the problem reappeared i changed all the spark plugs. This is todays fault code readout after a few shorter trips. I cleared all codes a few days ago. I don't think the 4729 - Steering Effort Control Module is relevant as I have some other issues with the car that aren't relevant (read more on ross-tech). So, I'm going down the road of troubles with my Octavia. Now the only thing remaining is the diesel heater, but it has a few fault codes and wont start. I've read up on a bit of info, and as far as I understand, the heater should be unlocked in VCDS, I think I'm able to figure out that part. But as far as I can understand, the circulation pump is the problem, but I cannot find the heater and parts in the engine bay. I think I've found some used parts that might fit, is this the correct pump? Any help is appreciated. I might be so lucky it's just a fatigued cable, but I really can't find it.

And update: Replaced front sensor, and everything is OK and no fault codes. Lights work like they're supposed to as far as I can tell.

Update: so I just went with it, and everything was a nice fit, completely identical to oem, but included 6 connecting bolts where not correct for my car, only the larger hub axle bolt was compatible. For anyone with the same questions. There doesn't seem to be any difference between 6 and 7 speed DSGs in regards of the CV axles.

Hi all. I'm very confused about the drive shafts for my 2015 Octavia. I'm in Norway and ordered aftermarket drive shafts for both front sides. BUT, the shop I ordered from stated it was for "automatic" with little else info. but now as i got the parts (and couldn't actually tell them apart without googling) i noticed one of them says 7 speed gearbox on the product page for GSP. But upon a little ressearch I can not figure out what lenght driveshaft it actually should be, as it seems every manufacturer has their own definition of length. So, I'm terribly confused. Will both theese fit? I have theese two front axles in hand, and I am definitely NOT taking out anything until I KNOW it will for certain fit my car. 1: front left: Dr!ve+ DP2110.10.2265 2: Front right: GSP 201893 Both front axles inner joints are bad, and the car shakes like a paint bucket mixer. There's so much play in the joints I can move the inner joint on the axles by hand, so theese really need to be swapped ASAP. Also, I'm far from home on vacation, so if the parts above are not compatible, I might have to leave my car here.

Start stop works great, and the battery is fairly new. I have no suspicions towards battery or generator. The low voltage might indicate corrosion on the terminals?? Yes, I think the new sensor will be here in a day or two, so will take a new assessment after installing it. It's just a little Weird that it's worked (with a broken lever) until now, but the electronics might just finally have failed.

Hello. I have a fault code related to the Automatic distance regulator on my Skoda Octavia Scout 2.0 2015. The car display warns me with a error message for Adaptive lights. Hi. I've gotten som help diagnosing my 2014 Rapid 1.4TSI, and the workshop has concluded the ABS control module is dead. I'm looking at what my options are, and as I understand it. This module is integrated into the ABS hydraulic pump assembly, right? I think that should be part number 6R0 614 517 BF. Can someone please point me in the right direction here? I know it must be coded when changed, and I think I have control of that part of the process .

Thanks, gives me hope it can be solved. But certainly not by me, as it seems like the steering angle module must be taken out and reloaded with software. Mine also seems to be completely empty, like the one linked on Ross-tech.

Specialized locksmith. I drive a tow truck, several of my collegues with 15+ years of experience also testified to this shop being the best place to go with any car key related problems. When I told them what happened, they had never heard of or experienced anything similar (And my work also use them often). Also a plus that they're about 10-20% cheaper than any dealer workshop. I've never seen or heard negative reviews of them (And I've looked thoughly), they've been in the business for the good part of 20 years, I practically cannot find anyone with same issues online. I have no reason to doubt them, and they are helping to get it fixed, I'm just impatient and want my car available. This is in Norway btw. But that wasn't really what I'm here for feedback on, do you have any suggestions?

Skoda rapid 2014 1.4TSI DSG. 260.000km Ok, so I got a spare key coded in, and it works. But... Now the steering wheel angle module (or something like that) went completely haywire. Done by a professional shop, which explained that this happens with one in a thousand, and that it needs to see a shop with login codes etc. They will cover the cost, but I'm seeking help to see if I can fix it myself earlier, as I can't really be without the car for long, and i expect it to be at a shop far away for long. Car drives, but lamps are blinking and abs/tcs/esp etc is not working at all. I went to a vag-garage close to my home, but they were a little short on time and couldn't take a deeper look. They told me they tried deleting fault codes, and reset the coding on the affected module as well as doing a factory reset, but didn't succeed in removing the issue. I don't know the name of the system the key-tech used, but it was a large apparatus with obd contact, screen and a key reader/slot. Is there anything I can do myself with VCDS? I've read fault codes, and module 04 - steering wheel angle does not at all communicate with the diagnosis tool.
