Has anyone experienced issues with the seat massage function? While driving on the motorway, the passenger seat massage feature suddenly stopped working in an unfortunate way—the air pockets in the lower back remained inflated, making it impossible for my wife to sit comfortably. Is there a reset option or workaround available to resolve this issue?

Yes, the primary reason was fuel consumption. I needed to drive more frequently, and diesel proved to be a more practical choice for commuting. However, I still miss my old petrol car. It was incredibly enjoyable to drive

The DPF appears to be functioning properly, with regeneration occurring seamlessly and no issues observed so far. Regarding oil consumption, my previous MK3 included a spare can of motor oil upon delivery. It’s a positive sign that this car was delivered without one 🙂 Fortunately, I have not experienced any of the frustrating issues that were characteristic of earlier models .

I own a 2.0L TDI L&K 193PS 4WD, and I’ve driven 16,000 km so far, achieving an average fuel consumption of 6.5L/100 km. Previously, I had an MK3 2.0L TSI 280PS, which consumed 12L/100 km. While the diesel doesn’t deliver the same power as the petrol engine, its 400Nm torque ensures a responsive driving experience with significantly better fuel efficiency. I am extremely satisfied with the car.

Additionally, have any of you reached out to specialists for remapping services, or do you have an estimated timeframe for when this might be possible? Has anyone heard about the possibility of remapping the Superb MK4 2.0 tdi 4x4? It is a relatively new system, and there are many subtle factors complicating the process. Additionally, I have been informed that the manufacturer’s servers monitor all modifications and may require garages to restore the original data during the next inspection or maintenance.

That’s very concerning! It appears they are monitoring the car’s performance, including ours, even though we unchecked the relevant option in the car’s settings. Additionally, if someone chooses to remap the car, the servers can detect the changes and potentially reset them to factory settings during the next visit to the dealership or garage. This raises significant concerns regarding privacy and autonomy.

Why did it take so long the process? My agent called me the other day to discuss to set up a date and time for the update and said it would take 2-3 hours. What am I missing here?

I got mine a few moths ago, the dealership agent informed me the virtual pedal function had been removed from the ones manufactured after 05/2024 due to the high number of complains about working unreliably and unpredictably. Also, it had some safety issues as well but they wouldn't tell me about the details. So my Mk4 is just not equipped with function accordingly. I loved it in my Mk3 tho.
