  1. Thank you for posting this steve! Few days ago I had the identical situation, mirrors were quite foggy so I turned heating on. After 15 minutes basically nothing happened so I stopped and cleared them manually. Was also driving in eco mode. For me it looks like a bug, it makes no sense that eco mode would prevent heating, this is just the option a driver can turn on (like wipers) and at least there should be some kind of the information if heating is intentionally not enabled. (like an e.g. crossed out heating-mirror-icon) And foggy mirros are also a security related thing, so nothing should prevent heating 😅.
  2. Same here, 2.0 TDI 150 PS. I was monitoring oil level manually since start and added around 0.6L total for about 6000 km. Already checked forum for Superbs MK3 and their owners are having the same problem. I think there was an information that it can consume about 1 litre of oil per 10k km...
  3. Hi all, I am looking for the 17'' aluminum winter rims that will fit my Superb Combi TDI 150 PS. Asked my dealer to give me an offer for the official winter set (rims + tires) and got this two sizes: 7x17 5/112 ET43 7.5x17 5/112 ET41 I already found my favorites rims I would like to buy, that are available in two sizes (ET values) but the problem now is that I am unable to find any official document where allowed ET range is mentioned for Skoda Superb 4. Available rims I am focused on matches all dimensions except the ET offset which is ET40 or ET45 versus ET43 that comes with the official rims. 7x17 5/112 ET40 7x17 5/112 ET45 The only information I can find on the internet is this unofficial page, where the offset is mentioned as 39 - 43, but for 7.5 rims. Not sure if this ET value depends on the rim width. I understand this is just a few millimeters difference between this two ET values, but would like to fist check with anyone more informed about rims here :) The logical option would be to choose 7x17 5/112 ET40 but would like to check...
  4. BTW- is there anyone here with the boot dish that fits the the lower-positioned floor, that would like to share me a photo (and the product number from the sticker)? I would just like to see the photo from the real customer since that all Skoda's images I can find on the internet are the same for all protector versions.
  5. Hello Jack, thank you for this detail. The image from my last post was copied from the mccrosss's post above, but yes, it has the same (wrong) shape, different from the Skoda's image. Will check it with the dealer, I would say someone did a mistake.
  6. A quick review of my new 2.0 TDI 150 HP L&K estate (currently at only ~2500 km): PROS: very nice to drive, you don't have the feeling of its size while dealing with curves or hills, it stays and responds nicely even on higher speeds still learning to get fully familiar with DSG reactions, but most of the time it reacts very nicely, holds the speed while driving downhill etc I would say the TDI 110kW/150 HP is just enough for a regular driver, even when driving on highways (under the speed limits) as a driver that first time experiences matrix lights- they are really amazing. I am still manually turning them off in some tricky situations when auto-dimming could fail and blind the car in the front seamless Android auto experience, it connects automatically when you turn on the car (OK, you need to have you Bluetooth turned on) and everything is here in case you want to have your music downloaded locally, on the type C USB- it works as well canton sound system is, from my perspective quite good, it of course requires the initial setup (as many other things in the car), but once set, it is more than fine fuel consumption is great (TDI 110kW)- around 4.5L (~52 mpg) on a highway if you are under the speed limits DCC works nicely, there are no clicking DCC sounds in my case, was little dizzy on my first trip to the village, on a very curvy road, but the normal/sport mode solves that, or I just got used to it CONS: although the AC works perfectly, the seat ventilation is really weak, really, just enough so that you can say it exist, it has the ventilator on the bottom of the seat that, I would say, uses only the cabin air to cool, and is not connected with the AC. It means that during the very hot summer days, you would need to slightly delay the seat ventilation until the cabin air cools down enough too many clicks needed once you turn on the car- I assume it is regulated by the EU law so that a car can't remember emergency assist configuration. Despite that, I really think it should NOT be the case for e.g. a driving mode, the car should be allowed to remember the last driving mode you used... had a uncomfortable experience when my friend didn't close the rear door completely- the car complained with the "open door image" on a cockpit screen only, but there were no sound alerts at all. The car allows me to drive ~200 meters without complaining. Once I realized the image on the screen, I had to stop on the road, he closed the door and nothing bad happened. If you ask me, there MUST be a very loud sound alert or even a system that prevents car from achieving higher speed if not all doors are closed. I would like to have the emergency parking braking somewhere in the top bar shortcuts, the same as auto hold option- while parking in a tall grass, the car will probably use the emergency brake and scare you to death (at least the first time). Once you realize that basically nothing bad happened, you will then need some time to go into the parking settings- locate the config section, find the option to disable it etc. If you have another traffic/car waiting for you to move while doing it, it can be very stressful. This option must be somewhere quickly accessible. OTHER: you have to learn how to use and drive the car, really :) an example, just spent a frustrating 20 minutes of debugging the "nasty issue of the car", it emergency brakes after ~2 meters of driving, every time I tried to move it, without any parking sensor warning, sound alert, message or anything. It was obviously a problem in me, I didn't use my seat belt because I just wanted to move a car ~10 meters down the yard. If there was some warning message that informed me about the emergency braking due to not used seat belt, I would be immediately informed and not spending my time on debugging everything else :D
  7. Some stats from my new 2.0L TDI 110 kW L&K Estate (2500km so far), eco mode: highway, 125-130 km/h (80mph) -> 4.5 L (52 mpg) more aggressive drive with a lot of the turns, open road outside of the city, sport mode, 70-90 km/h -> just around ~5 L (~47 mpg) driving in the city with a heavy traffic and a lot of start-stops-> somewhere around 7L, but it really depends on everything I would say it can easily go even below 4 litres on the highway if you are driving relatively slowly, around 110 kmph.
  8. I am also searching for the boot protector that will allow me to have the boot floor set in the lower position (TDI estate). Bought this one together with my car (estate TDI), and just want to warn a potential buyers: The protector is basically just fine, but there is one catch! You can use it with the boot floor set in the UPPER POSITION ONLY which means if you are in the (unprepared) situation when boot protector is in your car (estate with variable boot floor) and you want to transport anything that requires a lower position of the boot- you are in the trouble. The protector can't be fitted into the lower position so there is a gap between it and the boot floor. The protector position presented here on picture is just not achievable, it is at least ~10 cm higher and stays "in the air". Just to mention that I selected the right version of the product (boot floor protector for the estate with the variable boot floor), already contacted my dealer and they confirmed they delivered the right product. A dealer is not really motivated for refunding it because it came together with my car and is on the same invoice, which now makes the situation even more complex. I am now searching for the alternative- a boot protector (official or not) that I can use with both upper or lower boot position and ideally, that will not cover holes in the boot so I can use the ALU partitions. Any recommendation will help 🙂
  9. Hi, sorry to hear about the accident. I am really not sure about the DIY grill replacement (still waiting for a car to arrive :D) , but am interested if you had enabled front assistant/collision avoidance turned on, and how to they performed?
  10. Thanks a lot Carlston, that was helpful!
  11. Thank you for the reply, the color+wheels combination looks amazing! This is basically the same option I was planning to choose, the graphite grey plus Belatrix (18''), or in your case Veritate (19''). Will post here if dealer tell me some more details.
  12. I am from Croatia I agree that Belatrix look better and they are currently my top choice, but if there is maybe a huge difference in terms of the e.g. a build quality (material), weather resistance, weight, that caused the price difference, then I will also think about Dofida. I will for sure ask a dealer too, but just wanted to prepare before that.
  13. Hi, I am currently up to decide about the wheel option for my new Superb combi. The decision is currently narrowed down to two choices: Dofida or Belatrix (both 18'' size). In the Škoda configurator for my country, it says the Dofida wheels are more expensive, they costs 592.50€ more than Belatrix. Tried to find any detailed comparison between weels (e.g. wheel weight, material, quality), but I only found the below image (source link😞 So my question would be- is anyone on the forum informed about the weight or quality difference between Dofida and Belatrix 18'' wheels, that explains the price difference? Thanks in advance
  14. I agree, was able to see the hatchback in person But I was also curious if the part of the trunk closer to the door will be a little too low for, for example, taller boxes, a bike, or other things I might be transporting. Just wasn't able to get this kind of feeling. Also there's an estate version (which i can't check live right now) so I'm wondering what the difference in heights would be between the versions etc Was searching for some more precise trunk dimensions other than litres 645 vs 690, but can't find anything on the Internet
  15. They are not available in all car showrooms yet so I cant see or measure it in person.
