  1. Hi, no Denmark. I will go on 7th of April. I can check on the link above one of the update is: SW update of gearbox control unit (37VQ) Start date : 12/05/2025 For ŠKODA Octavia vehicles, from a limited production period, there is a risk that the parking position "P" of the automatic gearbox may not be active due to poor magnet contact. The gearbox control unit must be updated on the affected vehicles. The other is possibly engine ECU update.
  2. Your navigation maps are older version 24.7 The latest is 26.2 i think.
  3. What engine code and gearbox code you have? Is this the facelift after 2024, is it diesel? Thanks!
  4. After few days check again for updates...maybe a new one comes after the one you make.
  5. Hi guys, did anyone make the latest update for 2026 on his 2020 Skoda Octavia IV 2.0TDI? My latest was 2022 for my engine DSTB. My dealer told me there is 2 new updates to make and they need the car for hole day. This updates are free of charge, Skoda factory pay for them and its not Infotainment update. You can find them only when you call your Skoda Dealer service. Anyone did this? Just curious is it worth it? Thanks.
  6. You can make OFFLINE update very easy. Buy a USB-C flash (I use this-SANDISK Ultra Dual Drive - 128GB - USB Stick) and download the update for your VIN: https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/ Then just follow the instruction in the site how to create you USB-C disk for offline install. After finish, insert the the usb in the first usb port closer to gear selector, before driving and before starting the car. Then drive and leave the usb inserted for few days. You need about 2-3 hours of driving. Doesn't matter if you stop the car and go to eat suvlaki, drink beer or sleep. Just leave the stick inside for 2-3 days....it will upload automaticaly. Good luck, yamas!
  7. Thanks M8, I was also old school too with my old A4 1.9TDI 1998, nowdays I drive Octavia NX 2.0 TDI from new, my first change is still to come, driving now on 100k km. Skoda service book say 210.000km and 7 years, I planed to change on 7 years or 150.000km. Of course I use my eyes and ears every day :) On old VAG cars, it was 4 years and 90.000km as I remember, but they was old technology :) Gates together with Contitech are one of the oldest in timing belts and kits, but I don't think they have good bearings and water pumps. Replacing timing belt kit on 50k km, any kit will handle, but only making your drive more expensive. Don't you think? Today for my car I think, best belts are Contitech for durability and INA, SKF as OEM. Best cooling pump is HEPU, GRAF....... OEM is INA, SKF , but always look for metal regulator. Tensioner and pulleys I can go with INA as OEM , or SKF as strong aftermarket bearing manufacturer. This my research only, anyone is free to use what they like.
  8. What about timing belt Contitech and tensioner pulley SKF, water pump HEPU? This is my choice for now, and still searchng, my vin: TMBJJ9NXXMY011865 I'm looking for best tensioner pulley, the original start making noise on 50.000km P.S. How good is INA 530 0835 10 timing belt kit, what is belt quality here?
  9. It's hard to find a proper tool that covers both M10 and M12 presure sensor glow plugs on EA288 gen.2 Any ideas?
  10. Hi again, since 2020 Skoda recommends all engines, gazoline and petrol, to use motor oil with specification 508.00/509.00 another words viscosity 0W20. Some say its just because to make their engines more efficiant, economical and ecofriendly. Another say that this oil 0W20 did not provide the same friction protection as the 504.00/507.00 0W30 motor oil. Do you think 0W20 is better than 0W30? What oils do you use in your TDI cars after year 2020?
  11. This oil is not for VAG TDI engines, nothing to compare here.
