Engine oil ?

Featured Replies

Ok so, the sticker under the bonnet of my 2023 rs TDi says 0w 30 oil . How ever every where else I google for buying oil online is saying 5w 30 .
what’s the difference , would it matter and what are people using on here ?

I'd stick with the 0w30 longline 3 FE I think it should be, at least until your warranty is up then after that could go to a 5w30 longlife 3.

With the TDI i would stick with the 0w 30 FS III VW 504 00 / 507 00, and when the warranty is up still stick with it as no need to go to the 5w 30 FS III.

Hi there, have ordered a service kit for my 2015 2.0tdi VRS estate, and it arrived with 0w 30 as is now recommended......The car has been using 5w30 up until now. I had planned on putting Castrol Edge 5w30 LL into the car. But now im wondering is it worth swapping?

Any opinions would be great thank you!

The reason manufacturers use 0w oils is to get the fuel consumption down. Hereis something on oils https://youtu.be/zLBgIve1YzY?

There are some interesting results.

This oil is not for VAG TDI engines, nothing to compare here.
