2020 Skoda Octavia IV 2.0 TDI 150 Combi - latest Skoda dealer update, not re-call !

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

did anyone make the latest update for 2026 on his 2020 Skoda Octavia IV 2.0TDI?

My latest was 2022 for my engine DSTB. My dealer told me there is 2 new updates to make and they need the car for hole day.

This updates are free of charge, Skoda factory pay for them and its not Infotainment update. You can find them only when you call your Skoda Dealer service.

Anyone did this? Just curious is it worth it?

Thanks.

Hi. Are you in the UK and what is the update for? Is it engine related? Pls share some info. Thanks.

Hi, no Denmark. I will go on 7th of April.

I can check on the link above one of the update is:

SW update of gearbox control unit (37VQ)

Start date : 12/05/2025

For ŠKODA Octavia vehicles, from a limited production period, there is a risk that the parking position "P" of the automatic gearbox may not be active due to poor magnet contact. The gearbox control unit must be updated on the affected vehicles.

The other is possibly engine ECU update.
