Aero inserts on 19” Alloys
She says that the black inserts match the other black highlights of the Sportline trim, and if I remove the inserts, the shiny wheels look wrong. By the way, I do take the trims off, when I wash the car, so wheels stay clean. I agree, I think the wheels are an unnecessarily fussy design. I have removed my inserts but will put them back on, but still remove them for cleaning.

convenience window closing stopped working yesterday
I had to reset my window settings after the battery was disconnected for fitting a towbar, this restored the one shot up and down and the sunroof operation. I was handed the solution by a forumite and it involved using each window switch to open, then release the switch then hold down for another second, and the same for up. Had to do each window from the driver's console.

Maintaining battery while car is not driven for 4 weeks
Hi, I used to have a maritime career and would frequently park my car up for 3 weeks plus. I don't ever recall having a battery go duff whilst sitting. I used to have a fair run from home to the place of work and so the battery would be pretty much full when I parked up. Bear in mind that the alarm was powered up all of this time, though obviously doesn't use much, so I would say that if your battery was in good nick, it should be OK. Staring can take some charge out of a battery, not sure how long it would take to make up that charge when idling.

Tyre Sealant
Replacement tyre gloop for puncture repair seems to retail around the £60 mark Does that seem a tad overpriced compared to the generic stuff from the local motor factors?

Recommended Bike Rack
My daughter uses a BTWinn 300 from Decathlon. Bit fiddly initially, but it is good because the design keeps the straps clear of the spoiler on her MG.

Help - Cargo nets
Thanks for going to that effort. My mounting points are not obvious, possibly because as you said, the spare wheel is covering it. This is my summer vest.

Help - Cargo nets
Thanks for the offer. They are genuine nets and I don't have the varoflex seats but I do have a full size spare wheel Same here, a mechanical engineer, so I get a bit retentive about how things should be used :)

Help - Cargo nets
got the nets but no tags as to where they go! where do they all fasten to. doesn't seem to be enough hooks? I know it's not desperately important, but I usually pride myself on being able to either work something out, or bodge it convincingly

Hello
Hi, I have joined as I have just acquired a Karok Sportline 1.5tsi. We already have a TRoc 1.5 Cabrio so I was familiar with the engines characteristics and happy with it. Used to drive a Toyota diesel, but finding now, especially in Europe, that owning a diesel - particularly a pre Euro 6 diesel - comes with hidden costs! It's my first Skoda, but our 5th VAG and first impressions are very good. I was going to get another TRoc - but a proper one with doors, roof and other such luxuries but got messed about at the VW shop, so popped up to our local Skoda dealer and found the quality of the cars on offer to be quite impressive - particularly the interiors. I have lurked around the forum for a while as a guest, but wanted to engage a little more now that I have a Skoda. My 93 year old Mother in Law struggles with getting in, because of the height - so an unexpected bonus.
