  1. Hello All... I apologise if you have seen this before, or perhaps if someone has linked already, but I discovered this quality clip here... :rofl2: What a mover!
  2. I don't think I'd even be driving a Skoda if it weren't for VAG - never mind the same car! :goodvibe: My folks often remind me and my brother how we used to mock when we were kids for them even thinking about buying a Skoda - and now we're both proud Skoda owners!
  3. Cancelled anyway.... A mate from Cupra Net has offered me his geodesy plus for
  4. Yes, the 24h test drive is for the new shape octy. Someone came in asking for a 24h furby test drive when I was collecting mine, and promptly got told to do one, in the nicest possible manner of course The dealers explained that the octy's used for 24h test drives are supplied and insured by Skoda UK, not the dealers themselves who have to provide the other test drive cars. Understandably, they arent prepared to pay for and insure cars for people to take out (irrespective of age I guess) and rag for 24h - especially vRS's.
  5. Well, after some consideration I've finally booked my new furby vRS into AutoSounds (Newcastle) to have a Road Angel 2 hardwired into the car.

South Shields.... I live and work near this neck of the woods... I'll have to watch out for planes, trains and automobiles when eating at the wheel. Wait a minute, I've banned all forms of food and drink from my week old car... I'm safe
  7. You and me too! What's worse, is (IMHO) the 'Ignis' model name. Fair enough, something like the Grand Vitara is the best selling 4x4 in the world (so they claim), but the Ignis? Anyway... it looks like they're going for the Ibiza after all so VAG wins once again
  8. Thats great - thanks for the pics - exactly what I'm looking for really. How much were the nets, and was this from a dealer? Easy to fit? Cheers!
  9. The resprayed glasses holder in the other thread is great - looks like a really good job done. Has anyone got any pics of the boot storage accessories - the bags, boxes and so on?
  10. TBH - I'm fairly impressed with the Fabia's as a whole. The vRS is just all round great to drive and great fun. If you're looking for space, the estate version is pretty good too (I did consider one before the vRS). I don't think you can rival the build quality for the cash - nothing compares. Just take a look under the bonnet too - everywhere you look, audi and vw logos. Bargains to be had in the Skoda dealers! Good luck in your search!
  11. How do you find the Ignis Sport? I have a friend who was looking at buying one. I haven't yet managed to twist their arm to buy a furby vrs like mine (another case of Skoda snobbery even though they admit the furby vrs is pretty damned great), but I think I might have swayed them into an Ibiza with the same 1.9 TDi engine.
  12. Hey... welcome to Briskoda! I'm also in the NE - just bought a furby vrs and my bro has an octy vrs estate. There's a NE meet being planned if you havent already been in the GB forum.
  13. Other than the price of course...!
  14. I guess that is young for a car this powerful... what sort of insurance are you paying? Good to hear you like it tho - I'm only on day 4 of owning mine, and I've never been as satisfied with a car (5 in just under 3 years of driving - one shed, two nearly new, two brand new - and lots of negative equity along the way) - but now I'm happy
  15. Glad you like it! Surprised you're on the forums only an hour after picking it up tho!! BTW - "And joint youngest owner on the forum" - how old?
  16. Grr! :grumpy: Had another look at the Road Angel 2... it's a shame they don't do one with green backlight. The blue is just too.... blue!
  17. Has anyone 'scotch-guarded' their vRS seats then?? Presumably there's no discolouration? I didn't much fancy the el-cheapo protection my dealer was offering - I had it on a new corsa a few years back and thought nothing of it - the seats marked as if there was no protection there.
  18. I was in Halfords today, and they had a Road Angel called "New Road Angel" - this wasn't just a sign, it was printed as the model name on the box too. Has anyone seen or used these? It was a oval shaped box, with bright blue display (more suited to a VW), large screen too - circa 350 squid methinks. Any thoughts? There's a link for this one here. What about Geodosey? I have a friend with one of these, and I appreciate there is no laser detection or screen, but it seems to do the job. How much have people paid for fitting with these things too? Cheers in advance! EDIT - Ah... I see having searched on Google that the Road Angel 2 is the same as 'New Road Angel'. Seems to get good reviews in most corners - might have to look into getting one of these.
  19. lol... might just do the trick for the first few trips I bid on one - decent for the price.
  20. My dealer told me that if for example, you snap the folding key part - there's a small pin hole where it folds out, which can be used to remove the actual folding keypart so you can keep the remote fob. They said as long as you haven't snapped the 'groove' cut into the key, locksmiths can reproduce and put a new one onto the fob for you. Not all locksmiths, but some do have access to these folding key parts apparantly. He did tell me the name of one locally to me, but I don't remember
  21. Any tips on what diesel is best - brandwise etc?
  22. Well, I just picked up my shiney new red furby vrs this evening... and I love it!!! Waaaay better than I remember on any one of my several testdrives! BIG without a doubt! Gonna be strange trying to remember to fill up with diesel... costly mistake to make if I don't! I'm on hols from work next week, so methinks I will be driving far and wide
  23. A big warm hello to all my fellow new people who've been introducing themselves this week If you haven't checked out the Group Buys forum, pleeaaase do! There's a couple of items on there you might like - in particular I'm trying to drum up support for a rerun of some pretty nice keyrings (vRS and Briskoda). Go on... it's nearly payday so treat yourselves... get your names on the list!
