  1. https://www.eastsideskoda.com.au/
  2. And hacking the factory coding does not impact warranty???????????? It takes just 90 seconds to fit or remove the aliexpress adaptor - my local Skoda dealer says NO warranty issues.
  3. I have been able to "Reverse" the function of the auto stop start switch with this gadget obtained from AliExpress. On engine start up the default of stop/start system is OFF and you can activate to ON by pressing the button. Press again and its Off. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002826551352.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.16.177b18024vAx0z. VERY easy to install and it works a treat.
  4. Remember - Space saver tyres are NOT for regular use. They are speed limited to 50kph and also range restricted - meant ONLY to get you to the nearest tyre repair/replacement facility.
  5. Thanks to the anonomous reply. Started the engine then held down the power button on the infotainment system to turn it off. Went for a 20 minute drive. Then hit the info on/off button again = result was full function restored. Super!
  6. Just noticed that the coloured guide lines - those that move to indicate the path of travel when in reverse - are no longer being displayed in the infotainment screen. This started just after I was going thru the menu system looking for a way to permentaly disable Lane Assist. Any suggestions on how I can restore them? Irony is with my partners 2016 VW Passat the reverse camera also failed recently - and it also incorporates the boot release and rear radar smarts. Been quoted A$3,100 by the dealer to fix! FYI I am sure this was NOT caused by a solar flare.
  7. Same thing happened to me within 200 Km of delivery from new, with me and the car stuck in the centre of an intersection in rush hour traffic. Was a tow way quick fix (not). Turned out to be a faulty err loose battery terminal connection that allowed the battery to deliver power but NOT accepot a charge. So flat battery! Check yours.

What model/version of OBDELEVEN ??? What model/version of OBDELEVEN
  9. My Kamiq also will not roll backwards when my foot is on the brake pedal, but if I take my foot off the brake pedal when on a slope, after just 2 seconds the car does start rolling backwards unless I put the hand brake on. My partners VW Passsat has Hill Hold. Come to a stop on a hill, take foot OFF the brake and the car will stay in place - does not roll backwards.
  10. Hill Hold requires an electric hand brake. Kamiq is cable operated so NO hill hold
  11. Skoda disks - just like most cars - are made from cast iron which is one of the best materials for effective braking. In fact the very thin surface rust you see on a disk that has not been used for a while actually enhances the efficiency of the brake - so stop stressing. Stainless steel however will not show signs of rust BUT it is a pathetic brake surface when dry and, efectivelly useless if wet. The only reason to replace disks if they become warped, or that surface wear is such to reduce the overall thickness of the disk below it safe workable thickness which for a Kamiq is 21mm
