  1. @laurent2b You have mentioned in another post that your cable came from ebay - that will probably not be a real version so will only work with the supplied software. The latest official version is 20.4.
  2. It has to be a single item I'm afraid. Funnily enough she used to keep asking me to scan various documents for her on my printer and being the obliging kind, I did as asked. It wasn't until today that I realised (forgotten) that her printer had a built in scanner! Kyocera, Brother, Oki and Lexmark seem to have models that may fit the bill but further investigations need making before I commit. I have noticed that there is what appears to be a cartel regarding who can sell what brands though with the bigger sellers not being in the running.
  3. One of the first Whilst not adverse to an HP, I did notice this deal. It turns out to not be quite as good a deal as I first thought due to the running costs though. Maybe but it is now 14 years old so taking advantage of a potential spec upgrade. As SWMBO decrees that she wants the printer to be at least on par with mine, then I may just have to say none are available and let her keep mine. If I then happen to see another higher spec one then............ Funnily enough, the broken printer (Samsung) seems to have been bought out by HP and another daily (Ricoh) seems to have gone upmarket price wise! The hunt continues.
  4. One of my scanner/printer's sounds to have stripped a cog so I'm looking for something with these features:- Suitable for sitting on a desktop Network (LAN) - Bluetooth, (Apple AirPrint & Google Cloud Print would be a nice addition too) & USB as a 'normal' connection Black & white with duplex ability preferred Letter feed Laser only - inkjet definitely not wanted Scanner/copier with excellent resolution for the odd photo printing Have a reasonable speed It doesn't need to be the latest all singing-dancing machine as I'm open to having a bargain if there happens to be a 'last years model' available somewhere. Obviously I'm going to start my search off with such as PCWorld and Amazon as they may have the best variety but not necessarily the best pricing. I am able to use other printers as a stop gap but wondered if anyone had a particular preference or recommendation please.
  5. Is this referring to a Columbus or Amundsen download?
  6. I made it harder for myself by using the incorrect VW files instead of the direct link. At least it's all updated and working which is the main thing. Once again, thanks to everyone concerned in making this happen and especially to @MartiniB for being such an asset to Briskoda.
  7. By and large the DSG gearbox is extremely good and you should love it. The problem you mentioned may be the scenario when you're slowing down for a junction but then want to press ahead leaving the car to quickly decide what you really want to do. It's an 'irritation'!
  8. The aux socket should be able to be turned on and off in your infotainment.
  9. VCP is required for (4).
  10. Here's your solution to (3)
  11. Which company did the re-map? Sometimes the quality of the after care service shows more about the company than the BHP figures!
  12. Does this mean we're going to see a resumption of the dashcam footage Phil?
  13. As MartiniB says, it's probably best to wait a few weeks for the very latest updates. I'd also assist with putting the files on a suitable device and sending it to you. I'll PM about that later.
  14. Actually it's not 'obvious' that the infotainment was on. At least it's working now.
  15. Maybe turn your infotainment back on?
  16. Two topics with similar problems combined to make it easier to solve.
  17. I realise this is all OT but just pointing out that sometimes, with the best will in the world, things can, will or do happen!
  18. The scan may not be relevant but there is a VCDS option to control if all doors opening is preferred to just the driver’s door. Similar things for auto locking and what to do when a door is opened or the key is removed IIRC.
