Not had a problem yet even in some very heavy showers My biggest concern was the horn and connections getting spayed but I have moved the horn slighty to remove it from the intake path to protect it from the elements as much as possible

My name is not Mr Catbiscuit. I am jonnycatbiscuit, or John/Johnny (or even JCB) but not Mr Catbiscuit. I didn't go to Lovedoctor school for 5 years to be called "Mr" thank you very much.

Thats not hostility it's a fair question and yes your probably right about the fixings being generic
-
You would be better asking in the octi 2 section mate
-
Mine still makes me grin after nearly 3 years

Search is your friend. Been covered loads of times.

All Hail and a Mini Wave to Lex Dysia!!!
Well done mate thats the one. I love that car!
Is the owner still on here? Just wondering what sort of exhaust he's running, where he had it done and his opinions of it.
EDIT: Just spotted the line in between the two pics!
Thanks Yella, Owner is still here and the car looks very differant now
All I did was search green black wheels in the octi 1 forum and it was the 8th thread of 11 but heres the thread for your benefit http://briskoda.net/octavia-i/black-vrs-black-wheels/100684/ which gives you this link http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2309233 where all the specs and more pics are there to tease you

Am I alone in thinking GaryCT's silence speaks volumes?
-
You mean this one?
Spot on Clive it is dsmithmobile's car and this is the exhaust which is a powerflow cat back with blueflame sports cat

Just a stray thought but cant you use vag.com to bleed the abs system in the event of a problem. I seem to remember someone had problems after bleeding the brakes due to the abs valves or something and vag.com sorted it.

Just a quick one about the PM's. Surely sending the report out in PM's is pretty much the same as posting it on here? I would strongly advise against sending it out until you have taken any/all legal action that you plan to take. (Sorry all).
I agree. Probably best to get the legalities sorted beforehand.
There you go you see basil "OUR MATE" of course we are to blame, he's your mate and right or wrong you will stand by him whatever the facts may be, just as i would. You might stand by your mates right or wrong but if a mate of mine is wrong I will tell him and advise in any way I can rather than letting a MATE hear what he wants to hear or do something which may be detrimental to themselves.

I wait with baited breath for GaryCT to ask for an updateAdd me to the P.M list

I believe the BlueFlame joins together using flanges which don't allow for much tweaking if the tailpipe doesn't sit straight mine was always wonky.
Blueflame have done away with the flanges on the new design and it can easily be adjusted if it's not sitting straight.

Me too

I would opt for the blueflame out of the 3. The newer blueflame with the oval tip looks like a good quality product and is the one I will be going for when I eventually replace mine.

Well after re-reading the original thread and feedback from GarryC and yourself I have just bought this Audi TT 3.2 V6 Steering Rack 8,000miles on eBay, also Suspension Components, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 14-May-09 06:40:32 BST)

Glad you got it sorted mate. I'm not jealous at all.......much

Fixed or variable servicing intervals dictate the oils you can and can't use.
I use Castrol Edge 5w 30 which is a long life oil for variable servicing. I am on fixed service intervals and could use cheaper oil but I like the idea that the oil has plenty of life left long before I change it

yes they all do it. Secondary air system runs for about 90 seconds at cold start up to warm up the cat. revs sit at 1200ish till the pumps stops then drop back.
-
doesnt cost a fortune to connect in but I have heard that it has a serious effect on fuel economy :D:D
My fuel economy has stabilised now but in the early days mpg did go down quite a bit, I guess the adaptive ecu recalibrates for it after a few weeks

thanks guys, yeah checked the fluid all is ok with that, but it could be the aux drive belt that wasnt replaced. it is doing the squeeky noise thing on start up mind. what kind of a job is it to do it?
If it is the aux belt it literally is a 5 minute job and about £8 for the part.
-
Did you have the auxiliary drive belt changed to. I reckon it's slightly worn and slipping when the power steering pump is loaded. iirc it is removed to access the cam belt and disturbing it may have revealed the problem.
RARB's... help! Also- Whiteline vs Neuspeed?

I'm with you on this. I love my whiteline but it could be made better, especially the U bolts, had one snap within a couple of months of fitting. I will be upgrading to the Neuspeed at some point.
