  1. Hi Maybe i'am answering my own question here but after a sit down and a coffee i came up with an idea . I was thinking where else in the PDC circuitry can I grab 12v and thought how about the 12v feed to the rear parking buzzer ( as it and sensors work fine but i get a black screen on the Bolero Head unit ) hence the reason for the reversing camera install ?. any views on this as a possible solution ?. regards brendan
  2. Morning all I have read a lot from various sources/videos ( including this great video here ) about installing a reversing camera into my Superb Mk2 .They all seem to deal with estates rather than the saloons and involve removing loads of trim from the Tailgate and the C pillar model. I was just wondering is there a more convient location ( in or around the C pillar ) i could splice into to grab the 12v going to the reversing lights ?. I'am handy enough with metering/soldering so a secure connection wont be an issue . If anyone has a wiring diagram for a 2011 superb that would be a great help as well. thanks in advance brendan
  3. hi pete tahnks for teh quick reply , your a legend
  4. hi all, sorry for what seems to be a simple question but i dont want to break any while removing the side trim , so whats the best way to remove these clips thanks in advance brendan
  5. morning all, my son is looking at a 2021 Superb L&K IV PHEV with the 1.4 petrol engine. I'am just wonder how suitable the 1.4 is to such a large body as i have a 2011 170 hp tdi and that power seems to suit the size well. He currently has a 2.0 diesel Kodiaq and a 2016 audi a4 also diesel ( which he will be trading in ) So would appreciate any feedback both good and bad as to its sutability and any recomendations to disesel models? thanks in advance brendan
  6. well thats an amazing story and so well written. fair play
  7. keeping an eye on this post as my car is having a similar issue , sounds like the tyres are been scrubbed on the road but as you say its only at parking speed . its going into the mechanic on monday evening so will let you know what he finds.
  8. just a quick update on my 2011 saloon and teh reversing sensors not working : The buzzer is located to the right of the aerial if you gently pull down the headlining. It is very difficult to remove so i disconencted the wiring and moved it to behind the C Pillar and I connected the Buzzer I got on Amazon which worked perfectly ( Car PDC Parking Warning Buzzer Speaker Reversing Alarm with Wiring 8E0919279 5Q0919279 ). I secured it in place to the C pillar trim and the sensors are working fine the only issuenow is the display which show the image attached. I have currently coded out the optical section under vcds but was wondering if anyone has a possible idea as to what is causing the problem thanks in advance
  9. hi Andrehj Thanks for that but as i said i have done the searching on this and other sites. Thats the exact video i saw, which raised my specific question of " will any 12v buzzer work or does it have to be a dealer model " regards
  10. hi all, well i finally got my hands on a 2011 mk2 2.0 diesel saloon with only 230000km on the clock. Vcds pointed out that the rear parking sensor buzzer is open/short and needs to be replaced. From digging around i get the impression that the bzzer is located behind the headlining at the rear of the car. my question is can the buzzer be replaced with any 12v unit or must it be dealer specific ( if so whats the part number please ) ?? thanks in advance and delighted to be back in a skoda again
  11. hi all I'am looking at a Mk2 Superb ( 2011 ) tdi 2.0 with approx 140,000 miles and during the test drive I noticed there is a grinding/rubbing noise when on full lock to the left and when stationary a metalic noise from the rear near wheel when turning teh steering to full lock left . I noticed that both front tyres have wear on the inner sides and will need to be replaced ( obviously the tracking is out ) Apart from the above the car is faultless so i'am looking for possible causes and those that i have come across while searching the web are 1. Steering rack issues or 2. front strut mounts What is the best way to determine what fault it is ?. Thanks in advance Brendan
