Gurgling on switch off
Hello, did you ever resolve this issue? I'm getting a sloshing from behind the dashboard when the ignition is turned off but everything "seems" okay regarding engine temp, coolant levels.....

Sloshing sound behind dashboard - General cooling system advice needed - Superb mk3 2018 3v5
Recently I've been getting a sloshing sound coming from behind the dashboard when I turn the ignition off - and sometimes when I turn the ignition on but don't start the car. When switching the car off, if I wait a few moments, I get a sloshing/draining nose which eventually fades. The car seems to get up to temp okay and no obvious signs of overheating. Paranoia tells me that I can smell burning coming from the engine but I think the oil smells okay. I have tried bleeding the system - getting it up to temp and then whacking the heating on and ensuring warm air is coming out of the vents. I noticed that coolant is being returned to the resevoir but only upon revving the engine. Is that what's supposed to happen? So basically, when the engine is up to temp and idling, no coolant is being returned and that strikes me as odd. Could the revving be forcing collant through a potential air lock? Does anyone have any ideas about what this could be? Thank you in advance

Oil Pan Baffle (is it supposed to be loose)
Greetings, Moving on from my post this morning about getting the oil pan off (I've managed that using a leverage point), there is an oil pan baffle there and is loose. Is it supposed to be loose and will it take the correct position one the pan is back in place? -Anthony

Lower Engine Oil Pan Removal (2018 - 2.0 TDI Automatic 3v5)
Morning guys. I had a small oil leak on the engine oil pan so thought it would be quite straight forward to take it off, reseal and tadaaaa. Getting two of the middle bolts out near the gear box were a nightmare with one of them falling into the recess and currently no magnet to get it out but the real problem(!!) is trying to get the actual pan off as it's stuck fast when I thought it would come off quite easily. We are supposed to bang in wedges to ease the pan off but honestly, space is so tight and apart from removing the crankshaft pulley and the lower timing belt cover, I see no other room in which to perform the splitting (I don't have wedges either :/ ) The pan has 20 bolts plus three bolts that connect it to the gearbox which have all been removed. I've tried hitting it with a rubber hammer but it doesn't even look like budging. Does anyone have any tips on how to get it off? I will try and soften the silicone that I can see with sealant removal and scrape away with a blade to see if that does anything but I can't see it having much effect. (!!) Actually, my real fear is getting it back on with the two bolts that go up in the small space near the gearbox as they recessed and without a ball . Any tips for getting those in? I have some ideas but would appreciate other thoughts to see if they match. TIA Anthony

Coolant leak after servicing water pump and timing belt
Greetings, While doing a water pump/timing belt renewal, I've inadvertently broken a piece off form the cooling system and I would like it identified. It's on the right side of the engine and the best I can do is potentially identify the hose from the manual as being a hose to the exhaust gas recirculation cooler. But I don't want to lay a false scent. I've attached an image and circled the two items I'm interested. The nipple has snapped off in to the hose hence I need both parts TIA -Anthony

DSG 6 Speed Oil Change
- DSG 6 Speed Oil Change
Greeting all, I was after some feedback on this kit: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/meyle/7518243 vs something like this kit: https://www.gearboxoils.com/product/genuine-vw-audi-seat-skoda-dsg-6-speed-automatic-gearbox-oil-6l-filter-dq250-transmission-service-kit/ I'd really like to use VW oils but the cost is putting me off. Is the Meyle kit suitable for my car - 3v5 2.0 TDI 2018 I've got both in hopping baskets so I'm ready to go with the suitable one. TIA- Using Android Auto with Infotainment Console
Hello, If you're experiencing problems trying to connect your Android phone to the infotainment console, the first thing you need to check is that you are using a data cable rather than a charging cable. They look the same but they have different pins which aid in the transfer of data. Once you're confident that's all good, don't forget to click Androidauto from the infotainment to actually make the connection with your phone. My phone wasn't listed as being compatible with the car and I was having no luck trying to connect and put it down to incompatibilities, when it dawned on me to try a data cable. Luckily I had just bought a cold wallet which came with a data cable otherwise I'd have been stuck. I hope this helps someone. -Wolfie- Infotainment (Android Auto/CarPLay) not working.
Are you using a charging cable or a data cable? A charging cable won't work but a data cable might. They look the same, sadly.- Irregular Noise coming from Engine

- Repainting a second hand front end bumper
Morning all! I have just bought a second hand front bumper and it obviously needs some TLC as it's scratched and the wrong colour. Does anyone have any tips on a set of good products to deal with (in no particular order): adhesion (as plastic is showing through) primer cleaning (after I've given it a good clean with soap and water) Tack clothes Other cloths Finish coat Actual colour (Black Magic Met (?) can't find code in boot, door well, engine ) Spray can trigger grips Anything else I've forgotten Is knowing the type of plastic the bumper is made of important? Any tips and advice would be greatly received. TIA- Front Bumper Replacement

Evening all! My first post so not sure if I'm doing this right. I've just bought a 2018 Superb estate and I'd like to replace the front bumper as it was damaged when I bought it (bottom left corner is missing and exposing fog light electrics). Is there a recommended place to get parts from? I've tried ebay and it might be a goer but the bumpers will need renovation and respraying, so I was wondering if I could do better. There's Skoda Part Direct but before I hand over my details I was wondering if they were worth it. Any other options with resonable delivery rates if too far away. Thank you - DSG 6 Speed Oil Change
