Using Android Auto with Infotainment Console

Featured Replies

Hello,

If you're experiencing problems trying to connect your Android phone to the infotainment console, the first thing you need to check is that you are using a data cable rather than a charging cable. They look the same but they have different pins which aid in the transfer of data.

Once you're confident that's all good, don't forget to click Androidauto from the infotainment to actually make the connection with your phone.

My phone wasn't listed as being compatible with the car and I was having no luck trying to connect and put it down to incompatibilities, when it dawned on me to try a data cable. Luckily I had just bought a cold wallet which came with a data cable otherwise I'd have been stuck.

I hope this helps someone.
