Front Bumper Replacement

Featured Replies

Evening all!

My first post so not sure if I'm doing this right. I've just bought a 2018 Superb estate and I'd like to replace the front bumper as it was damaged when I bought it (bottom left corner is missing and exposing fog light electrics). Is there a recommended place to get parts from? I've tried ebay and it might be a goer but the bumpers will need renovation and respraying, so I was wondering if I could do better. There's Skoda Part Direct

but before I hand over my details I was wondering if they were worth it. Any other options with resonable delivery rates if too far away.

Thank you

Hi,

Have you looked on lllparts.co.uk?

I use skoda-parts.com for everything. Absolutely top service. If you email them, ask to speak with Jan Vorlik - he's their UK representative, and is ridiculously helpful. I used to use SEAT Direct Parts and Cox Brothers when I had my Leon, however there isn't really a UK alternative for Skoda (that is as well stocked). Skoda-parts.com get the stuff straight from the factory and also offer a few options (like genuine OE, OEM, aftermarket, etc).

They're VAT registered so you pay what you see (I've ordered a £300 brake calliper from them) and although the postage can be a bit steep, it's not bad at all and the part is usually a good 30% cheaper than in the UK.

I'm in no way affiliated with them - just a happy customer from many orders. They send the stuff with FedEx - usually takes about a week and a half to land at the door.

🤣

Sometimes you can use words or a phrase in a post that is Grey listed as possible spam, so gets held by the forum software for a mod to check and approve it. Helps cut down on spam attacks.

I originally said if you email (their email) and speak to...

I edited it as I wondered if that was why. I promise I'm not a spammer! 😂

If it makes you feel any better -

Cu5. Tom. Er. Ser. V1. Ce

Is an auto flagged phrase… been caught once or twice myself 🤣

@OccyVRS: Thanks for the heads-up re the site. The bumpers are expensive and they're not shipping to the UK anyway. But I'll keep them bookmarked for the future.

@Bap33: Lillyparts don't seem to have Skoda - clearly I'm doing something wrong. Audi, VW, Seat, Mercedes, BMW, Mini, Porsche....

General question: I've seen a bumper on Ebay from a saloon but Ebay is telling me it will not fit my car (estate). Is that correct? Is there a difference between saloon and estates (apart from the obvious, that is)

VIN number not found.

Don't bother trying to put VIN in, free sites will never do anything useful with it.

No difference between Estate and Saloon when it comes to the front bumper.

On the other hand, there is big difference with the rear bumper.
