Another Oil Consumption Topic
Out of interest - why didn't you return the car to the seller and wash your hands of it? I'm lucky in a sense that I bought mine nearly 7 years ago and it's been relatively trouble free until this issue.

What was the cost to complete this work? Did you do it yourself or have the garage do it?

@JMSkoda94 what range are you getting on a full tank? I've noticed mine will only do ~350 from full tank to low fuel warning. Prior to this issue I was getting 430-450.

Another Oil Consumption Topic
It sounds like we're having the exact same issue. Burning 1l per ~650 miles and constant DPF regens - have you managed to sort it?
- High oil consumption

Constant DPF regen
The garage had it for 2x days and found no issue :D It's using 1l of oil for every 600-700 miles and constantly performing a regen but no issue found. They checked the turbo for leaks, etc and stated that regens were completing successfully. The fact that it regens every time the engine is running indicates there's an issue, surely? I mentioned it's likely a piston ring issue but they stated it was too big of a job to check. Not really surely what to do now...

Constant DPF regen
So that would explain the high oil consumption. Do you think the DPF regen issue is totally unrelated?

Constant DPF regen
Yes, it's the CUNA 184. It's currently in the garage and the mechanic is struggling to find any issues! Constant regens, reduced range, 1l of oil per 600 miles and can't find a problem smh

Constant DPF regen
Mileage is ~132k and the garage reported the ash level to be around 60%.

Constant DPF regen
Hi! Octavia vRS TDI 2015 - For a while I've been experiencing constant DPF regens - the idle tick over constantly sits at 1K with the radiator fans running for a while after the ignition is turned off. I drive motorway miles daily so it's not a symptom of short trips although on longer 2 trip ~2hrs the Particle Filter warning will appear but clears after ignition reset. I've noticed the regens are having a massive impact on fuel economy (only managing ~350 miles on a full tank when previously I could get around 400-420) as well as oil consumption. I've had a local garage take a look and apparently found no fault and added a DPF additive to the fuel and told me to blast the car down the motorway - I interpret that as they couldn't be arsed to investigate it as they didn't even charge me... Has anyone experienced a similar issue? I feel I'll need to point the garage at the potential causes as they're not going to find it on their own it seems... Thanks!

DPF Process Octavia VRS TDI 2013 & OIL Burn
I'm experiencing a similar issue. I've burned through 1l of oil in 630 miles and recently had the DPF warning twice which resets when the ignition is turned off. Have you had your issue checked by a mechanic? It'd be interesting to know what they've discovered.
