  1. Hi, I’ve got an update, I asked if he could do a compression test as I was panicking a bit, it’s been checked and all good, he’s also checked all of the fuses, 3 fault codes came up as shown below, he’s going to do some research tonight, however I did tell him I’m a member on here and said I would ask if anyone had any thoughts please, many thanks Paul
  2. Hi Warrior193, absolutely no impact, just rolled to a stop, yes I believe that’s what it said SS not available, I’ll get the battery tested when my neighbour comes around this afternoon, Thank you for your suggestions 👍, cheers Paul
  3. I’ve also just remembered when the car stopped it did come up with something about stop start on the dash but because I was concentrating on getting off of the dual carriageway I’m unsure exactly what it said, I’m just wondering if there is a way to reset the fuel shut off valve? Maybe disconnect the battery ? any thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers Paul
  4. Ok so he’s plugged it in and it’s saying misfire on cylinder 2 & cylinder 3 also secondary battery is very low? I was unaware the car had 2 batteries or am I misreading that fault, also the fuel cut off has activated ?
  5. Ok, so plugs and coil packs replaced and unfortunately no different, it’s running rough although not shaking now and smoking out of the exhaust and it cuts out after 10 seconds, I’ve done a short video but unfortunately I can’t upload it due to the size, my neighbour is going to plug it in to his snap on ipad and hopefully get to the bottom of it, in the meantime any other ideas would be gratefully received please. Cheers Paul
  6. The recovery guy didn’t give me the DTC’s but he said there were a lot of things flagging up, just to say we have never had any engine issues whatsoever before, only the heater fan issue that I resolved earlier in the year cheers Paul
  7. Hi Warrior193, apologies yes cylinder 1, the plugs all look intact, the plugs in cylinder 2 and 3 were wet, my neighbour is a mobile mechanic he is ordering the plugs first thing in the morning and he said he’ll plug it in when we get back from a family members funeral tomorrow afternoon, we’ve hired a car for the day tomorrow 🙄 cheers Paul
  8. Hi, yesterday morning I drove up to Stafford from Exmoor no issues whatsoever, however this morning driving back with my elderly mum on board we broke down at Bridgwater, as I was driving up the off slip the engine appeared to flutter slightly for a couple of seconds then all seemed fine, I assumed it was possibly the road surface, however got about 1 mile off the motorway and the EPC light came on and also the engine light and it was popping and spluttering so I rolled off the road and switched off, I thought it felt like the coil packs had failed, the roadside assistance arrived quickly ( green flag ) plugged in the car and he said it looks to be that 2 coil packs have failed, he unplugged the middle and right one as you stand in front of the car looking under the bonnet and it made no difference with the engine running but shaking badly but when he removed the 3rd one the engine stopped, I’ve got 3 brand new coil packs at home so he brought us home and I replaced all 3 but it’s made no difference whatsoever, I’m going to get 3 new plugs tomorrow, does anyone have any other ideas as to what could be the issue please, the car is a 2022 ( sept 1st ) 1.0tsi 95hp with 29000 miles on the clock and a full Skoda service history that we’ve owned since new. Cheers Paul
  9. We bought our Fabia new in sept 2022 and have to say the reverse light is probably the worst/dimmest I’ve ever had in a car, I wonder if they had fitted 2 I’m sure it would have made a difference
  10. Hi, we opted for the £99 option for rear discs to be fitted when we ordered our 2022 Fabia SE Comfort as we tow a garden trailer and a small boat fairly regularly, to me it was a no brainer for £99 👍
  11. We certainly didn’t opt for rear discs on our 3 cylinder 1.0 95 bhp Fabia to look or appear sporty, we did it as we tow either a trailer or a small boat fairly regularly and like the performance of all round discs as opposed to front discs and rear drums, in my opinion they do make a difference. Cheers Paul
  12. We have had our 2022 Fabia SE Comfort since new, we spec’d rear discs when ordering and we don’t feel the brakes are any different to previous cars we’ve owned with all round discs, we have today had the rear discs and pads replaced as they were put as an advisory when it was Mot’d, cheers Paul
  13. Hi, at 06:00 I drove to Bridgwater from 6 miles the other side of Minehead yesterday morning it was around 7* and pouring with rain, I was following a Hinckley point bus most of the way, if anyone knows this road they will understand the avg speed as it is pretty windy, the results are below, I’m more than happy with the mpg we’ve been getting since we bought it new, it’s a mk4 Skoda Fabia 95 TSI SE Comfort , cheers Paul
  14. Hi, I would also recommend hard wiring the dash cam, it’s really easy to do, I fitted ours when I took delivery of the car, and haven’t had any issue with battery drain, also if unfortunately someone knocks your car whilst parked you're likely to have footage for insurance purposes 👍
  15. Hi I have recently removed the glovebox aperture and end of dashboard panel with the passenger airbag on/off switch which I unplugged to repair the heater fan, unfortunately now that everything is back in place the airbag light is staying illuminated, I’ve tried switching it off and on but it still doesn’t go out, please does anyone have any idea how to sort this, hopefully without taking it to my local dealer which is a 2 hour round trip, any help with sorting this would be gratefully received.👍 cheers Paul
