  1. Hi guys, Im having a problem setting up my wireless home network. I have a Belkin Wireless G Router, connected wirelessly to a new Acer Laptop (which I am using now). This connection works perfectly, not come across any problems with it. I have set up WPA2 security on the router, and this laptop connects fine. The problem comes in when I am trying to connect my desktop PC wirelessly to the network. I have a ZyXEL wireless USB adapter, installed the software & drivers etc, all went through fine. Plugged it in, it lights up, so I go through the connection procedures, it searches and finds my network successfully. I ask to connect, it asks for the security password, entered correctly, gets a connection, but then shows up as limited or no connectivity. When I check the details it says the network did not assign a network address. I checked the password etc, and according to the router settings, it has given the computer an IP address etc, but still no joy. I have tried using it without the software, letting windows manage the settings, but I get exactly the same problems. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to sort this out? Cheers
  2. Looking good, though you forgot to hide your numberplate in one of your pics...
  3. The loss of PAS will prob be the PAS angle sensor, theres loads of info on here about it, just do a quick search. Not long since had mine changed, £130 inc vat, but under warranty so no cost to me. Not sure on the other things.
  4. Its the drivers side that rattles for me, really bloody annoying, because im so close to it, turning up the sound just makes it worse... If anyone finds a fix, then I'll give it a go when I get my car back I think.
  5. Hi, I've done a quick search, but not quite found what i'm after. Fabia 1.4 8v (MPi) 1. I had the problem with my PAS not working properly after start-up, so I took it back to the garage to sort it while its still in its 1 month warranty. They gave it a new battery and said that should be sorted. Unfortunatly its not, it still has the same problem, so should I take it back for them to look at the PAS sensor thingy? I dont get any warning lights on the dash, never did, just the heavy steering in the first few mins after start-up. 2. I had an intermittant metallic scraping coming from my rear drum brakes, so while it was in the garage, I got them to have a look. The mechanic said it was just a build up of rust in the brackes, so he cleaned it out, and it was fine on the way home. This was done last thursday (8 Nov). Annoyingly the scraping has come back already (noticed yesterday 10 Nov), and is just as bad as it was before. Is this something more than simple rust, or would it make more sense to have parts replaced? I Hope some one can help me with these problems, so I can get them sorted under warranty before it runs out on the 25th Nov. Cheers Chaos306
  6. Cheers for this. Looking more like Im going to change the HU for an aftermarket one that I already have (which I just found in my house, didnt know I still had it!) with Aux In set up, just need to buy a lead to connect the Mp3 and no messing with wiring. Thanks again
  7. Cheers. Does this one support the aux input, or do I then need an adapter to connect my mp3 player?
  8. Hi, Im looking at adding an MP3 player into my 2000 Fabia Classic, and was wondering which standard Skoda HU will allow this ie aux input? Currently Got the MS-202 unit, which is a bit crap at everything really. Im wanting to keep the standard look, thats why Im looking for an OEM unit rather than going aftermarket. Cheers Chaos306
  9. Hi, New to the site and all, just picked up a fabia classic, not really had time to play with it yet, but feels great to drive. Im probably the person with the lowest spec car on the site now! Oh well I didnt buy the car for its toys... That will come in later cars guess. I hope i can gleam some helpful information and tips and can contribute something back. Cheers Chaos306
