I think I can still get my shoe in that gap
Had my orders to keep it sensible this time, rears are wound fully down though. Family trip to France coming up so can't
Go mad. Once that's done then maybe we can go all out

Had a mirror indicator fail, joined the dynamic brigade and the Coilovers turned up ready to be fitted at the weekend.

Looking good.
It's a slippery slope you're on now. One mod leads to another & before you know it your bank account is empty & the Mrs is wondering where the new kitchen fund has gone. 😁
Said I'd never do it again after my black hatch but these were to good an offer to pass up

Lost one of the lights out the grille as they were a bodge anyway which meant holes where it'd been chopped about so replaced that. No more police car

I had a similar thing on the passenger door.
no elec/heated mirror function, no indicator on the wing mirror, door wouldn't lock/unlock. it was a snapped pin in the connection block on the A pillar, repaired the wire and all good again.

Quite probably.
Bit of brake cleaner and a careful scrape of the pins seems to have cured it for now.

Fix one thing and another arises.
Sorted the front passenger door issues but now the passenger rear window has stopped working from the drivers door panel and its thrown up the door open symbol on the dash.
Could this all be linked to the connector block with the snapped pin as it did look a bit Green with water damage when we found the first issue

Fixed it the important bits.
Snapped pin in one of the connectors. Happy days.
Seat buzzer thing is still an issue but ideally I want to replace the seats anyway as the foam bases are pretty much non existent

Had a look at all the wiring and plugs all seem ok, looked for the convenience module above the glovebox and its not there like a few posts mention it is. Got someone coming with a snap on scanner to see if that works and if not I'll have to find someone local the vcds.

- Or the door bellows wiring. You need to continuity test the wires to check this
- And read the fault codes to diagnose an intermittent EPC
- Now this is a trickier one. It could be wiring in the seat base since it detects "weight on seat", or in the relevant belt stalk since that detects "buckle in catch". Can you replicate the "fault" by fastening the belt over the seat and then sitting in the seat?
I've read that the door wiring is an issue so hopefully I'll get chance to check over it later and go from there. Didn't want to start buying motors and convenience units if its something simple.

I'll check the wiring first but this could be useful, didn't realise it could be done.

Morning people.
Massive run out in the car today after owning it for a week and its been a pleasurable 470 mile day 😁 I have however noticed a few niggles I need to pick brains over seen as I've been out of vrs ownership for a while. 1) passenger front door central locking doesn't work and neither does the elec/heated mirror, could the 2 be linked? Fuse, convenience module 🤔 2) EPC light comes on intermittent and only after I stretch its legs. Happened twice in the week I've owned it, doesn't affect how it drives but I need to sort it and if you turn it off and back on again its gone. 3) seat belt light/buzzer sounds on the dash if I move on the seat to reach into the door even though the seat belts clicked in 🤷♂️ loose wire under/in the seat? Other than that's its been spot on 😁

After a few years away and various other cars/vans I seem to have landed back in a mk2 vrs but an estate this time.
I wasn't looking for another skoda tbh I was looking at various other estates after I fell out with my van, something I could fit the family in aswell as my 9 month old staffy. This popped up like it was fate and its absolutely great. Bit rough around the edges but drives great and has just had the timing chain and associated parts done.

After all that work you put into it, were you not able to sell it as a runner - or at least as a rolling chassis?
Nope, the offers for the full thing were ridiculous even with the spec. To many cheap (rear seats out) so called trackcars on the sites means no one wants to pay. Broke it made more so they did me a favor really.
Over a year to build and less than 2 days to dismantle and have it all sold

I've seen a few that way on lately, my youngest has just started at the horse rescue place past Saxilby so I'm on taxi duties after work.
