I have just been quoted £155 for my 20,000 mile service on my 1.4tdi (80). What price is everyone else paying
-
That was a reason I bought the all plastic ones. They dont look as good as the stainless steel ones but they dont rust.
-
I bought the Fabia ones off e bay and they have been fine, never moved.

Is it not that the car is long geared for economy. I have this car and I know what you are saying about 1st

I see on 5th gear last night they put the Fabia3 up against the i20 on spec. The presenter said it was a draw but then gave it to the i20, as it was £400 less. Correct me if I am wrong but would the fabia be worth more in 3 years time. -

In the past cold spell my daily 6 mile drive to work, I was getting about 51-52mpg and that is not going over 60mph and above 2.5k rpm. Now the weather has warmed up (a bit), today I got 57mpg, driving the same way. -
This worked great for me, cheers

I ve done 13.5K (14 months) and mine are starting to go.

This has never happened to me and considering that it is always cold "up north" (southerns always tell me so ), it must be high moisture levels in the car, wet mats ?.

I got my fabia from Silbury and I have to say, they have always been good in their after sales, especially one guy (dont know his name but he is a shortish fella, with a nice maner) who goes the extra mile. One minus point though, was my 10k service. I went to Benfield, who were half the price of silbury who wanted £160.

Is the Fabia 1.4 tdi a major flop?

Well said, I second that -
Is the Fabia 1.4 tdi a major flop?
Hearny replied to chasefreak's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Fella's this post is about the 1.4tdi being a flop, it should be renamed "fabia Brakes". As far as I am concerned and I have the very same car, it's a great car, with great all round performance -
I have had my 1.4 (80) a year this weekend and prior to getting it serviced at 9k (Aug), I was averaging 57mpg. I reset it and I am now only averaging 53.4, my driving style has not changed. On my daily run to work (about 7 miles) I could get 58-60, now it's showing 53 at best. I now think that the MPG readings are not that acurate, unless they were not before the service and they are now. Has anybody else noticed this?

I had a problem with a rear speaker and had it back to the dealers. They said that the speaker needed more padding around it, as it was vibrating against the the door panel. Funny it has started doing it again, back we go. Mind I have never had mine above 17 on the volume (must be that I am over 40)

Any tips for buying at the dealers?
Hearny replied to carisbrook's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Deals results - What Car? Have a look on this site and see what you can buy it for. The least you should go for is what car target price. -
I agree, if you bought 12 months ago (I did) you can get a much better deal now. I have to say within 6 months of buying mine, I could have got 0% finance and probally a lower purchase price. The dealers are desparate for your custom, they aint shifting many cars.

Looking a my rev counter (1.4tdi 80) you hit the red at about 4200, you can go up to about 4800.
-
I got the £77 service, mind the other Skoda garage where I bought the car from wanted £150. The Skoda garage I used could not believe what my other quote was. This just shows you that these 2 garages are only about 12 miles apart, but thier prices are poles apart.

Would it not be that the MK2 has been out for just over a year so not as many on the roads. I have the the 1.4td (80) and it's spot on.

Paid £76 for mine four weeks ago in Newcastle. -
I had a quick look at "Which Car" mag in Sainsburys last week and it had the Fabia as the best buy supermini. Just shows you as to what people see!!!!!!!!

Had my Fabia in today the 10k service done and all for £77. How much are other people paying?
