  1. Is it a single channel dashcam (front only) or two channel (front+rear)? If it’s twin then the rear cam could interfere with the antennae, had that problem on my previous car (Volvo XC40) and fixed it by clipping a ferrite core to the rear camera cable a few inches from where it plugs into the camera. Tucked the core into the headlining. Having said that, I have installed a VIOFO two channel dashcam in my MK4 which didn’t need a ferrite core, no problem with the DAB…
  2. You might be hearing the ping you get when the system detects a change in the speed limit, when you transit from a 40mph speed limit to a 30mph speed limit for example. That would be why slowing down and speeding up in the same speed zone doesn’t trigger it.
  3. It’s a pity that the car doesn’t adjust them automatically based on its sat nav location data. Not rocket science, my previous car (Volvo) did just that.
  4. It’s a fault I’m afraid which Škoda seem to have no idea how to fix! I had the same problem from the day I picked up the car in Feb 2025 until January of this year. In January I spent some time in the car trying to document the problem so I could present the document at my first service (23/02/2026). During the process the infotainment system suddenly went blank and eventually reset itself. That reset seemed to fix the problem so I couldn’t recreate the fault and consequently I had nothing to submit to the dealer. 4 days after the service the fault returned!! When its faulty a press of the “next track” button results in it going to the next album rather than the next track. You may find also that playlists don’t work either, same effect. Also it went through a phase where if I selected an album to play and that album was also present on my phone then the infotainment system would play track 1 from the usb stick then the same track from the phone then track 2 from the usb stick etc. etc. A cheap £5 mp3 player from China does a better job than Škoda. Not very good considering it’s a £45k+ car. Needless to say I won’t be having another Škoda…
  5. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/530533-dash-cam-that-connects-to-rear-mirror-usb-c-port/#findComment-5924924 This is an earlier post of mine with pics of the A139 Pro fitted on the driver’s side. I’ll take pictures of the A329 and post them here later.
  6. VIOFO A329 front & rear, HK4 hardwire kit (to enable parking mode), VIOFO Bluetooth remote control. CPL on both cameras. Front camera is mounted high up on the passenger side, can only just see it behind the rear view mirror from the driver’s seat. I briefly installed a VIOFO A139 Pro on the drivers side and powered it from the USB-C socket in the mirror console but I found it a bit obtrusive there. I’ve used various VIOFO cameras over the last 10yrs, build quality is excellent and never had any problems with them. The very first one I bought 10yrs ago is still working fine in my wife’s car.
  7. Not sure if this is relevant to your particular problem but I found this note in the on-line manual… “Automatic deactivation The parking brake is automatically switched off when you drive off. If you want to prevent it from switching off automatically, e.g. when starting uphill, hold the button down.”
  8. Aren’t they the “mood” lights for the cabin? Does your model have the mood lighting option (eg lit led strips in the door panels) and if so are they set to red in the colour menu? Do they come on at the same time as the led strips? Just checked my car and can confirm they are indeed part of the mood light system. They are purple in my car. They come on in dark lighting conditions and go off once it gets lighter.
  9. In my diesel saloon the sub-woofer is mounted in the recess in the spare wheel in the boot. Quite happy with the sound I’m getting from it although I don’t think the Canton sound system in the Mk4 is as good as the one that was in my Mk3 saloon. Sub woofer was mounted in a compartment on the left hand side of the boot in the Mk3.
  10. I find both manuals to be pretty poor to be honest, very lacking in detail… My last car was a Volvo XC40. The downloadable manual in PDF format was almost 700 pages long and the detail excellent. Much easier to use. Volvo have also gone online only now I believe, seems to be defacto these days ☹️
  11. Page 72 of the printed manual gives an overview of the “Preferred functions” and “Favourite applications” icon positions but you’ll need to refer to the online manual for details on how to set them up. I’ve assigned an icon for the autohold in the “Preferred functions” bar.
  12. I’ve added it to my favourites bar (top left of the screen in the picture above). Easy to turn it off when parking…
  13. Yes it does but no physical button. Just read the on line manual for instructions on how to enable/disable it. The feature is called autohold.
  14. My mk4 Superb L&K 2.0 TDi has a dipstick, it was already installed on delivery (Feb 2025)…
  15. My car has done that a few times, I think it does this if you wriggle or lean back in the seat (eg turning around to fasten the seatbelt) whilst it’s still in motion. It’s never done it to me if I’m sitting still.
  16. You have the same software versions as my car which I collected in February this year, I was hoping that the software had moved on a bit since then 🙁. Fingers crossed it gets updated at its first service…
  17. Have you read the online manual? If not here are some relevant extracts re: KESSY Automatic locking when leaving the car If the vehicle is equipped with this function, it will automatically lock when the key is removed from the car. The direction indicator lights flash once to confirm that the car is locked. If the car is not locked, an audible signal will sound twice. If there are people in the locked car and they open the door from the inside 30 seconds after locking it, the alarm is triggered. This applies to cars equipped with the SAFE function: After automatic locking, when the key is removed from the car, the SAFE function is deactivated. A beep sounds once to confirm that the car is locked and the SAFE function is deactivated. And: Settings Deactivate keyless locking Lock the vehicle with the button on the key. Touch the sensor on the external door handle with your finger within 5 seconds. Deactivation is confirmed by a single flash of the direction indicators. To check the deactivation, wait at least 10 seconds and then pull the exterior door handle. The door should remain locked. Keyless locking is automatically reactivated after the vehicle is unlocked. Permanent deactivation of keyless locking Select the Exterior menu in the Infotainment system. Select the screen with the Opening and closing item by swiping with your finger. Select Opening and closing KESSY. Activating/deactivating automatic unlocking when the key is in the vicinity of the vehicle Select the Exterior menu in the Infotainment system. Select the screen with the Opening and closing item by swiping with your finger. Select the Opening and closing Unlock vehicle when approaching. Activation/deactivation of automatic locking when leaving the car Select the Exterior menu in the Infotainment system. Select the screen with the Opening and closing item by swiping with your finger. Select the Opening and closing Lock vehicle when walking away. Sorry, looks like the copy doesn’t let me paste the symbol pictures…
  18. Too late to help with the missing key but would recommend these trackers for the remaining ones. Longer battery life than the AirTags and there are separate versions for either IOS or Android. The link is for a 4 pack of the IOS ones. Currently £20. UGREEN FineTrack (4 Pack)... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0F82HR8QZ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I have one of them stuffed into the pocket on the back of the drivers seat too. I’ve found them to be very reliable.
  19. This a regular event for me and it’s driving me crazy. The media playback software is completely unfit for purpose.Even a £5 mp3 media player on Amazon manages to playback the tracks I want to hear, in the order I want to hear them, continue from where it was after pressing pause. My Superb can’t achieve this basic requirement. I select an album to listen to, car plays a few tracks. Park the car and turn off the ignition midway through a song and come back 10mins later. The infotainment continues to play the track that was playing but when that track finishes instead of playing the next track it selects the next album on my usb stick and starts playing that from its first track. If I press the next track button then it advances to the next album, not the next track. This is 99.9% repeatable. For the other 0.1% of events the infotainment instead decides to play a random album stored on my phone when I get back in the car. A 5 year old could make a better job of writing software to do this, is such a simple basic task for heaven’s sake! I’m a retired software engineer with 35+ yrs of experience of programming so this sort of basic, rudimentary fault is incredibly irksome to me. I’m seriously considering getting rid of the car after just 8 months of ownership. I can feel a Basil Fawlty moment is just around the corner !!
  20. This is the Brodit mount I fitted originally. https://www.brodit.co.uk/brodit/vehicles/skoda/superb/proclip-for-skoda-superb-2425-rhd/19516
  21. Skoda don’t seem to have a system for informing owners about software versions and what bug fixes, new features or feature updates each version contains. I’ve not found a way to report software bugs to them without getting their standard response to “take it to the dealer for a diagnostic check”. Software bug diagnosis I think is realistically far beyond a main dealers ability and there should really be a system in place to report software bugs directly to the Skoda software developers. Given the lack of such systems I was wondering if we owners could post any information on the software versions our cars have currently? Also if you’ve had a software update when your car has been serviced and you’ve noticed any bugs you were experiencing have been fixed by the update? You can find the version number on the “system information “ screen. Personally I am so infuriated by the dreadfully bugged media system that I’m considering getting rid of the car after just 8 months of ownership. It’s driving me crazy. I’ll probably wait until after the first service/software update to see if there are any bug fixes before dumping it. In all other aspects it’s a great car, comfortable, powerful and really good fuel economy but Skoda (and I guess VAG in general ) really should be ashamed of the appalling software.
  22. My Superb has started a new annoyance this week. Every time I get in the car it asks me if I want it to continue guidance to an address unknown to me about 8 miles away from my home address. I’ve never entered that address, last time I entered any destination in the Sat nav is over 5 months ago for an address 200+ miles away. The infotainment system is also deciding what music I can listen to. It will play just a few tracks from the album I select then it decides to start playing a completely different album, again for just a few tracks then another different album and so on… I have never encountered such appalling software before. It’s particularly irksome as I’m a retired software engineer with 35+ years experience. I would have offered my resignation if such basic faults were found in my software. I don’t think I’ll be driving a Skoda for much longer…
  23. There is a setting that lets you select the max volume when restarting the car. I guess it’s in case you’ve been belting out some heavy rock at a high volume when you turned the ignition off. Can’t remember where it is but I remember adjusting it when I got the car.
