Are all doors and bonnet/boot properly closed?.

Do you have anything plugged in the 12v socket like a charger for a phone or a rear dashcam.
I have experienced some VW cars which have bad radio reception due to either a charger or rear dashcam

Rear window I believe, mine has an amplifier unit behind the inner tailgate trim. I noticed it when fitting the reverse camera

Just googled the number and it seems 9B9 is the colour code

Hi just had a quick look at mine, it has the part number
6V0863301A
there may well be a colour code after that but it's not on the mat. Any decent parts guy should find it from this number

My monte has a small holder for a the umbrella in front of passenger seat. Although if you have and under seat storage box on the passenger seat then you will not have an umbrella holder

If I remember correctly there was a special tool which was basically a zipper unit. You threaded it onto the zip and zipped it up then apply a small staple to stop it coming undone. If you have a small zipper you could try it.

Finished my first attempt at creating a 2 colour badge. I ordered a used front badge off eBay which had no adhesive pad on the back. Carefully I unclipped the chrome parts from the backing, which is difficult because the clips are brittle.
Once dismantled all parts were sanded with 800 grit paper. The chrome is tough and only just managed to dull it sanding.
The chrome parts were then acid etch primed, painted with 3 coats of black magic and 3 coats of lacquer.
The centre was plastic primed and painted with 3 coats of meteor grey and 3 coats of lacquer. Once dry the badge was re assembled. Just need to add trim tape to back of badge. I have now ordered a used rear badge from eBay.

There are different versions of this sensor, some have two sensors on the board. One sensor for sunlight for the A/C and a light sensor. Looks like yours only has one sensor for the Sunlight penetration.

Help!!
I have the new turbo on but after about 1 min of driving the EPC light came on. Almost feels like a boost leak but I've checked all the pipes.
You may need to adapt the actuator unit on the replacement turbo, so the engine ecu knows its position accurately.

Many thanks. So nothing to do with the key itself, then.
At least now I know not to chuck it away!
It does also have the key number on it, so save it

That's the tag that used to come with VW group keys a few years ago now. The 4 digit number on the scratch panel is the immobiliser pin. The number on the black tag is the last bit of the chassis number. Haven't seen one of those for years.

You certainly had me wondering what that was for a while!
Maybe I should have 'tweeted' to find the answer!
P.S. I'll update the thread title too.
Thanks, it's that damn autocorrect

Looks nice in that colour, I've got some eyelids on the way for mine. What did you paint the badges with, what prep and did you have to remove them, paint and refit? Was looking at doing mine ir maybe remove the skoda and fabia from the back.
Thanks, Dan
Bought a set of badges, sanded the chrome with fine sandpaper until dull, which was time consuming, that chrome is resilient. Then primed with etch primer.
Painted with black magic and lacquered.

As soon as you plug into a vehicle and click Test then Save, the software will record the serial number and you're ready to go!.👍

Yes that happens a lot, I work in vw dealer now and the amount of times updates and things like activating CarPlay or voice control switches off something else it's a nightmare. The system is great when it works but that's not that often. They can plug your car in and run a test plan to reconfigure the 5F unit and you should get everything back
