  1. Finished my first attempt at creating a 2 colour badge. I ordered a used front badge off eBay which had no adhesive pad on the back. Carefully I unclipped the chrome parts from the backing, which is difficult because the clips are brittle.

Once dismantled all parts were sanded with 800 grit paper. The chrome is tough and only just managed to dull it sanding.

The chrome parts were then acid etch primed, painted with 3 coats of black magic and 3 coats of lacquer.

The centre was plastic primed and painted with 3 coats of meteor grey and 3 coats of lacquer. Once dry the badge was re assembled. Just need to add trim tape to back of badge. I have now ordered a used rear badge from eBay.

    Help!!

I have the new turbo on but after about 1 min of driving the EPC light came on. Almost feels like a boost leak but I've checked all the pipes.

You may need to adapt the actuator unit on the replacement turbo, so the engine ecu knows its position accurately.

Looks nice in that colour, I've got some eyelids on the way for mine. What did you paint the badges with, what prep and did you have to remove them, paint and refit? Was looking at doing mine ir maybe remove the skoda and fabia from the back.

    Thanks, Dan

Bought a set of badges, sanded the chrome with fine sandpaper until dull, which was time consuming, that chrome is resilient. Then primed with etch primer.

Painted with black magic and lacquered.
