  1. You definitely have a problem there, from 3rd to 2nd should only require light pressure, maybe try another garage,is your clutch ok?.
  2. I was looking at the short shifter myself a few months back for the octy vrs, suppose to give a 25% improvement over the standard gear change, that should really tighten things up because IMHO the octys gear change is not that bad,i did have a short shift on my pugeot 205 GTi, and i have to say it was exellent.
  3. I came accross this site by chance,worth a look. http://www.roadtune.co.uk/roaddyno.shtml
  4. I use Zymol auto wash and the Meguiars clay milk and Meguiars gold class polish, as mentioned, and IMHO it gives the best finish i have ever seen, the clay milk seems to flatten the paint and remove unseen dirt, then the polish brings out a mirror type finish, when finished rub the back of your hand over the paint work, pure silk.
  5. Yeah the earth should be close to the amp, that is too long, and use a bit of medium/fine grit sand paper around the screw to key it back to bare metal for a good contact, good luck.
  6. Anyone know how to remove the black plastic cover under the wind screen wipers on the Octy vrs. Cheers.
  7. I have the DV-R forge dv with interchangable springs and i have to say its a very nice bit of kit ,so i would imagine that the optimus is the same deal.
  8. I read quite a few reviews on the net about the octy vrs ,and there was not a bad word said about the car, when i saw a pic of one on the net it was love at first sight.

  11. I know a few people who smoke weed and also take hard drugs as a result of starting on weed ,they lack ambition, and display serious paranoia, and have the mental recall of a gold fish, waste of time, money and health. :thumbdwn:
  12. Auto Glym bumper and rubber care is very good ,more pricey than peanut butter ,but good none the less.
  13. Last car was Peugeot 205 1.9 Gti,80s go cart, after reading reviews on the octy vrs, there was no other choice,i had to have one, amazing car for the money.
  14. I don't have parking sensors on my octy, but if you remove the rear seats centre head rest, you can use the top of the rear spoiler as a reference point,i find that when the spoiler is lined up around the half way mark or a tad under, of the cars windscreen behind ,you will generally have approx two or so foot to play with, have a practice,i find it works quite well.
  15. I love classic cars i still have a 1974 P6 Rover 3500s garaged,other cars ive owned: Peugeot 205 1.9 Gti 1972 mk3 Cortina 2.0 GT ( Modded) 1973 Rs mexico 1970 Cortina 1600E 1983 Fiesta XR2 MK1
  16. Never mind this midlife crisis balony, your as old as you feel, and your a long time dead, buy your furby Vrs and enjoy.
  17. Did they say what the actual fault was? seems like they were clutching at straws in their endeavour to fix it,replacing the most expensive parts first.
