you're welcome to come meet up with us as VWAction this Sunday! Have space on the display I am also going to be organising a few more meets around Worcester area over the non-show season (I get depressed when there are no shows to look forward to) - the first being Sat 25th September 3pm for a bit of grub and a natter at the Brewers Fayre just off J9 of the M5
  2. Not this year - we've going to VWAction at 'Pod. Edition is only good if you are camping, its just an excuse for a **** up really. I know this year its supposed to be revamped for Edition10 though, so you;ll have to report back as to wether they can actually turn it into a decent show!
  3. okie dokie then - in te interests of appealing to the majority... (if you can call 4 people a majority?) 25th September 3pm for a late lunch/early tea meet
  4. Still got the spaces for displaying at VW Action, if you happen to come along the display plot is booked under our local club name Pole Position, am guessing same as for Spring Fest let them know when you arrive and they'll direct you, brownie points if anyone can bring an Audi along as we have Seat, Skoda and VW represented but no Audis to complete the set!
  5. Why would they suggest changing a water pump at the same time and saving you costs when they can change it at a later date and charge you all the labour for taking the same bits off twice - my water pump went last week and Lissy has only done 74k
  6. I'll second that - get the best you can where suspension is concerned even if it means not getting something else at the time
  7. thankyou there is a thread on here somewhere when I first ripped all the black plastic off and started with a few different shades of purple to test what I liked - not one person thought it would work out but boy does she look good! Not too much but just enough little bits is the key Ooo one thing that I did that really really made a difference was chuck all the grotty grey pillars and headlining and replaced with black VRS stuff, small difference but really changed the feel of the interior. I would if I had the money a while back have replaced the front seats for some comfier ones as I find it easier to drive when you're positioned properly - but the need for an auto is now unfortunatly too great
  8. lets not forget the fact that the induction kit also makes her bark
  9. Where is Duggie anyway? He'll also add to the MPI's rule!!!!! Honestly Lissy is ace fun to drive! Shes had coils on, low as possible set to go-kart handling mode - there is no damping - and I may not be able to out accelerate others on a straight bit I dont have to brake for corners and around here I can leave people behind coz none of these roads are straight. WHeels are bigger, decent tyres and spacers make her ass look yummy. Jabba RARB, SEAT front strut and uprated front ARB all add to the handling fun Picked up the sport front bumper off ebay for something like £20, got it sprayed fairly cheap - looks fab. All the bump strips have been off - painted purple and stuck back on again. The front grille is also purple (silver and purple being the theme ya see). Shes been debadged and got some purple skoda badges on her now, colour coded the door handles. Brakes have been swapped out for VRS setup - (you'll really wanna sort those rear drums, in winter Lissy used to dragg her ass half way down the road before the rear wheels unlocked), kinda braking overkill for the power but I am used to driving the VRS combi before and now the Bocca both with uprated brakes so I kinda expect a car to stop dead. Just do little bits now and again, you'll really enjoy driving the car. And MPI's never ever die - thats a fact!
  10. Alan - can you do the 25th? Can move it to end of t'month?
  11. Mine did that - Lummox fixed it - I'll send him along in a bit to tell you how
  12. I do believe it was for sale on here down below... will have a check in a tick - I have a child and puppy jumping on me! ..... all the mud has gone now hehehehehehe
  13. Lummox said his old estate was up for sale again... BUY THAT ITS AWESOME!!!!! I loved driving it and loooooads of boot space for trips to Toys R Us haha Thinking about it, would the estate be any good as a comprimise? I do have to say I've never had issues - and thinking of it I used to shop ever wednesday with my mate and her daughter. We had 2 3 year olds in the back (so still in bulky seats) 2 buggys (my mclaren and her Quinny) plus our shopping and although you had to play a little game of Tetris to get stuff in it wasnt a major headache. But for peace of mind just go for the Estate? Would Trish swap with you for say a week trial maybe? But of a long way to come but you are very welcome to have mine for a week!
  14. Are you planning on more kids Oggy? As if LO is 1 - Owen was in a mclaren buggy by then no need for a pram and if no more kids on the way it'll never be an issue. We have been camping for a few days with the Fabia without roof boxes or anything so if you are going that route you'll have no probs! I have also had a stage 1 seat + 2 booster seats in the back of my car when taking my sisters kids out. - You really can fit more in a Furby than you first think. The Boca I would say has even less room in it (sure Lummox will argue with me on that) But me+lummox+owen+dog in dog crate went on holiday no probs and that included an unnecessary stacka box of owens toys for the week incase of rain!
  15. Another mip owner here - I get about 30 - 35 outta mine, maybe a bit more long haul
  16. ok I pressed a wrong button somewhere - coulda sworn I just replyed. Anywho - always use SRP on my Furby. Tried Megs but it just didnt quite have the same effect. Wax - Either Dodo Juice light fantastic - or my favourtie is R222 concourse. goes on easy comes of like a dream leaves a gorgeous finish BUT you'll need to reapply it ideally with every wash, every other wash at a push. And you can forgett beading with this wax... oh no with this wax your car will actually repel water!!!!!! I call it rivering. Try it and see its the most amazing sight in the world ever
  17. have added date and time to this (provisionaly 3ish for a late lunch type thingamy? - can be changed )
  18. OOo nice Touran! Sounds like you got a good deal on it too
  19. He did such a good job with that - gorgeous car!

  21. How's Saturday 11th grab you? And are you comin to VW Action with us the weekend before? You know you wanna come just to see the Beetle Buckaroo and Campervan cookoff!
  22. Started up a new thread, there is a good place literally off Junction 9 of the M5 - think we did 1 meet there before trying the J5 meet. ANyone else fancy it, good food there!
  23. Unfortunatly regardless of how good the new VRS is its still as ugly as all the other Mk2 Furbys which is really disappointing. Heres hoping Skoda do something with the SE version to make it some kind of competitor to the Boca. At the minute tho Seat have it hands down on looks.
  24. I say... that post resembles my engine bay! - Everyone needs a colour coded strut its the law!
  25. isnt a sump guard seperate to the bit of annoying plastic in question?
