  1. Yes. I think I prefer the black colour (although only when carnaubad), plus it has electronic boot opening, I am not bothered about the park assist so much, more front and rear sensors. I wanted to view the lower mileage one on the other thread, but it had already gone, presumably to the OP.
  2. All, thanks for the guidance. Decided on an estate now. Only issue are the cup holders. Can you even fit Starbucks cups in them. Looked like just red bull cans! Any thoughts on these two: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201308038140481/usedcars?logcode=visc http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201308228431376/usedcars?logcode=visc
  3. Thanks mate. What would I notice on a hill 3 point turn if there is something wrong with DSG? Great will confirm cambelt has been done.
  4. All, anything you would recommend to specifically look for whilst testing an 09 cr170 DSG 50k miles, superb elegance? When is cam belt again? Thanks in advance!
  5. That's a great point. Not a good time to buy mk11 now!
  6. In what way better? That's what I am trying to get to bottom of.
  7. Oh well I am looking for a nice FL so was hoping they would go down. Will see.
  8. It's got RNS 510, MFSD, BT, cruise, 6 CD, autohold, electric heated seats with memory auto lights n wiper, luggage organization, f/r parking sensors, heated windscreen. Most things bar leather actually. Will miss the satnav n memory seats the rest the FL VRS has or can do without. I like an easy car now having grown out of Fabia vrs with 180bhp+ n 18" rims. Fancy a more mature VRS. Looked at superb too, but bigger again. Less of need for bulky prams etc.
  9. Currently got a Passat CR140 highline estate DSG. Not sure if need the space so looking at VRS FL DSG hatch 2010ish. Anyone done similar and regret it or happier?
  10. So do you think they will go down now new one is out or as its not available till Sept as estate and Jan as hatch they will go up? I seem to remember the same thing with the MKI Fabia VRS. They actually went up in price.
  11. If lead time is months and buy it now with PX. Does the price of PX lower over that time?
  12. Anyone know when it will be available? What sort of lead times do you estimate? Keen to get a used VRS DSG 2-3 years old so hoping some come through when new one arrives on people's drives.
  13. Hi All, thanks for all the interest. It's now sold to the first viewer yesterday. Don't think they are on here yet. Thanks for all the support over the years. May get an Octavia in Switzerland when settle there so likely to be back on representing Briskoda abroad
  14. Thanks Damo. Yes it was on Eibachs but found it too firm! Old man I know. I guess Cambelt is due end of 2012. Although it's only done 15k since last change... We are leaving the UK so don't need another car thanks!
  15. All, Please find details of my wife’s beloved Fabia vRS for sale. We are relocating abroad in September hence a rather reluctant sale. We are based in SL9 (just off J16 M25/ J1 M40). I am around this weekend and most days next week if interested. We have had it for 4 years and done just over 20K miles. During the last 3 years this has been serviced by Browns Group (AKA Ninja_Alex & Sean). Please feel free to ask him about this car as he knows it mechanically much better than me! 2004 04 Reg Fabia vRS Black Magic 64K miles 2 previous owners Tax till October 2011 Full Service History (Last done 50miles ago in June 2011) Cam-belt change (December 2008) New Brakes in 2009 New battery June 2011 AC just re-gased Excellent tread on tires due to low millage last year (She cycles to work) Pirelli Pzero tires Remap (around 170bhp) Performance air filter PD160 air intake 17†Seat ibiza cupra R alloys (with Skoda central hub badge) – Anthracite perfect condition (done this week). Octavia vRS badges front and rear (slightly larger) Parrot CK3100 universal Bluetooth professional fitted to stereo Universal iPhone/iPod mount to stereo with charge (works with iPhone 4 and my wife’s 3GS) Just been detailed and has always had a good few layers of carnauba wax. Inside is also in very good condition. A hope the pictures do it justice. Also included video walk around: Click for video link; High Resolution album; http://s1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee490/badgerman26/Fabia%20VRS/ Please feel free to PM me for any questions or if would like to view. I have priced it based on Parkers at £4850ono, which for the excellent condition I think is fair. Mods - just upgraded to Freedom so hopefully everything is in order. Thanks for looking.
  16. Ok sorry about your situ. Any interest in an 04 black fabia VRS?
  17. Do I run the risk of getting a flat if leave USB charger plugged in all the time with no ignition? It wont be charging anything as will remove phone. But thought they still use charge in standby? It's a furby vrs. Thanks
  18. Just moved to area, need my vrs serviced. Any recommendations from non stealers? Cheers
  19. Thanks for all the replies. I noticed it was maybe 5mms below min, been like that for sometime. Maybe I will just go to VW stealership. Moved from Manc sometime ago - ta for offer!
  20. The pink fluid in a ball on the drivers side is below the min. Anything special or will tesco coolant do? Cheers
  21. I am at 4y and 4m and 53k miles. Think I will go for the cam belt change. My local garage cant do it so have to go to a stealer. £350 plus VAT. Does that sound about right? Cheers
