  1. SOLD.

I appreciate this isn't classic Brisky fodder, but maybe as a second/weekend car! That's where I got the bug when I bought my first MX-5 in 2015, alongside a Yeti 😉

    Make & Model: 2009 59-plate NC2 / Mk3.5 2.0 SE PRHT, upgraded.

Colour: Silver, Aluminium Metallic (Mazda paint code 38P)

Mileage: 88k, will rise slightly with use

    Price: £6450

    Description:

A well loved Owners Club example, with one previous owner now up for sale due to an unexpected opportunity to try another roadster. Registered September 2009, Aluminium Metallic silver (paint code 38P), registered new by Wrights Mazda Norwich. Original bill of sale included and a comprehensive history file. 2 keys and MoT until September 2024 with no advisories.

88k miles covered and in very good condition overall, with some marks and stone chips in line with age and mileage. Spec includes climate control and cruise control.

Most importantly, car has been cleaned, treated and protected on the underside at a cost of £1000. Carried out by Anaid Vaid who is well regarded in MX-5 circles. Receipt included.

Car has been carefully upgraded in my ownership, with Tein FlexZ coilovers fitted in March 2023. Original suspension can be included if desired. Specific custom ‘fast road’ alignment by TunedUK, settings sheet included. Full service carried out in the same month, including sparkplugs, gearbox and differential oils. Pipercross panel filter installed.

IL Motorsports decat manifold fitted in November 2023 by Performance Link. Fab9 Versatuner map then uploaded, giving circa 185bhp and a better torque curve. No engine light as a result and the secondary cat still in place. Original manifold included, if desired.

Sony XAV-AX3005DB headunit fitted with Apple Carplay, Android Auto, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, retaining use of steering wheel controls. Original stereo also included. Gearstick and handbrake gaiters upgraded to black alcantara with contrasting silver stitching.

The car will be supplied with its original Mazda 16" alloys, recently refurbished in silver, fitted with Goodyear tyres. 17" Proline UX100 wheels in black with recent Kumho PS71 tyres can be supplied or fitted in addition, by separate negotiation.

The car has been run exclusively on Tesco Momentum 99 and only hand washed in my ownership.

Registration is currently J555 HJW if you want to check MoT history etc. Will return to AU59 ZZC before sale, with the original dealer plates fitted.

If you’re in the market for an example with considered and well-researched modifications that you were thinking of doing yourself, then this car could be the one for you.

    Condition: Used, very good condition

    Collection: Yes. Cheshire, CW8

  2.

Boot cargo nets for the Mk3 Octavia. In excellent condition.

I'm unsure on compatibility with the estate, but if you've got lashing eyelets in the same places as the photo I'd imagine they're compatible.

£20 posted to a UK address. Price reduced to £15 if collected from the Warrington area (WA13 postcode).

If interested, I've also got a genuine Octavia hatchback rubber boot liner for sale

  3. Hi all,

Some may know that I volunteer with, and I'm the current Chair of the Manchester group of RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders. Just to let you know that we have some availability on our next course with starts in January.

You can find all details here on our website: https://www.safedriversandriders.org.uk/ - or feel free to post questions here or drop me a PM. We run it over 8 Sunday morning sessions and I'd highly recommend it - and I guarantee you'll learn something new 😀

And also feel free to pass the info around other groups and forums, or to friends and family who might be local area - the more the merrier!

    Cheers,
    Steve

  4. Just caught up with this one - always good to see a bonelorry project thread :-)

Fingers crossed you get the wheels sorted too, at the 3rd time of asking! Can't quite get my head around the combination of good customer service, but an exactly repeatable issue that they say they've never seen before, combined with them not knowing how it's being caused....

Congrats on the impending arrival too - with a 2 1/2 year old now, I can say you'll just about find enough time to keep the car clean in maintenance wash terms! You might struggle a bit with a Mk6 hatch with all the clobber though, so an Octy consideration is a wise one

    All the best,
    Steve
