  1. Not Ministry but a local government Meridio user here, and the best thing I can probably say about it is that I can't access it from remote locations which is where I spend 98% of my working time. Bloomin nightmare stuff, we're still trying to iron out issues with Kainos.
  2. I had my seasonal flu jag yesterday, and it was purely the seasonal one, didn't include any swine flu component. Had the separate swine flu one back in January. Very slight tenderness in my arm for a few hours afterwards, and felt a bit crappy but I'm just getting over a grotty cold so not unexpected.
  3. Got my 2.0TDi Elegance from West End back in April and have been really happy with them, Daniel the dealer principal is a sound bloke and I've heard nothing but good things about Graham in service. Going to give them a call next week to book the car in to get a wee minor niggle sorted out.
  4. Indeed it is... here's a PDF that details what to look out for as explained in the first post in a nice visual form It's kinda scary, was talking to a mate who's got a Fabia VRs and he nearly got caught out, was about to buy some pads from eBay and spotted something in the picture that made him query whether they were correct or not (think it was the wässerpumpe that he spotted on the box). He emailed the seller and got a very ropey reply which put him off buying the pads. Fortunately he found some info relating to this elsewhere on the net and got in touch with our local trading standards and gave them a link to that particular auction.
  5. My old Mazda6 did this, but only as an indication that the battery was getting weak! Sure enough, a couple of days after it did the needle sweep I came out of work to find the battery dead as a dodo.
  6. I think I know your current car, seen it around Livingston, and if it's the car I think it is then I visit your school regularly! Like the sound of your new car though, the FL Octy has grown on me a lot and white is a great choice.
  7. Sent off the paperwork when I got my Octy on 8th April along with application for tax refund for the car I traded. Got a confirmation letter after about three weeks, and received new V5 and a cheque for £107.50 exactly four weeks after getting the Octy.
  8. Gave my Octy a clean: Washed with Megs NXT shampoo. Dried with Eurow drying towels Wheels off and cleaned and given a coat of Rim Wax. Glass cleaned with AG glass polish. Quick coat of Megs deep crystal stage 3 - using the leftovers in the garage before buying more products! Interior hoovered. Engine bay plastics given a quick wipe over with AG tyre dressing. Exhaust tips given a go-over with Autosol.
  9. New Skoda owner

  10. Hello Briskoda! Registered quite a while ago and have been reading the forums ever since, but at the end of last week I bought my first ever Skoda (and my first ever diesel) - a 56-plate Octavia 2.0TDI Elegance in Flamenco Red. It's a great car, just over 22k miles on the clock and in pretty damn good condition. Very happy with the dealer, they serviced and MOT'd the car before I picked it up. They did warn me that it would be due a timing belt at 4yrs (November this year) of 40k miles. Dealer did the timing belt, tensioners and water pump as part of the service. Liking the car a lot so far, vastly different from my last car, a 2.0 petrol Mazda 6TS.
