  1. ^^^ Me too. My motorbike helmet is much much better but needs to be really.
  2. Take your pick. 'Professional footballer is violent thug' shocker. 'Professional footballer in group sex scandal' shocker. 'Professional footballer in under age assault' shocker. 'Professional footballer caught drink driving' shocker. Essentially earning pro football wages seems to put the idea into the heads of those earning them that they are somehow demi gods and normal rules don't apply to them. The smart kids at school didn't go off and be sportsmen, they went and did something useful. The divs and thugs were pushed toward sport as they are unlikely to achieve anything worthwhile in any other area. And it's the fans fault, you are the ones idolising these muppets, this is why they think they are special. I honestly couldn't name more than about 4 footballers. Whatever it is this one has supposedly done it's almost guaranteed that they did it and almost guaranteed they won't have as harsh a punishment as I would if I had done it. As for the thread title, if it is then we are in a lot of trouble.
  3. Console bushes VERY worn or coil spring broken would be my guess.
  4. I'm a Zumo convert. Great bit of kit. Mines hardwired in now. Next bike tech purchase this year will have to be bluetooth headsets so I can use it wirelessly and also be able to talk to wife when she's on the back so a double set will be necessary. Waiting on a couple of microphones to arrive so I can get my Drift cam fixed and wired in to my lid. Speaking of which, my new suction mount arrived today along with selfie pole. I'm going to sit down later with a needle and thread and make an adjustable webbing strap as I got a second goggle mount as a free gift with a spare battery I bought so I'm going to make a rear seat mount for strapping the camera there .I'm interested to know how many drivers give me the bird after I ride by I'm having fun just piddling around with settings and stuff at the mo. Did an internal and external vid on the van over the last few days. One with the cam clipped to my roof bars and one with it on the windscreen like a sat nav. Just getting to grips with all the settings before I want to use the camera properly. Any good recommendations for a simple video editor?
  5. Hate to say it but I was in plaster for 3 months Barrie. I was self employed at the time too so no sick pay. And a further 6 weeks until I could walk like a human rather than a wounded velociraptor. I still needed crutches for a good week and a half AFTER the plaster came off, my muscles just couldn't take the weight . Get a flask with a handle. Trust me on this. Otherwise you'll be drinking tea right where you made it for 3 months. I would make a flask full of coffee to transport it to where I was sitting in the lounge and transfer it to a mug there.
  6. ^^^ Thanks for the info? A link would be more useful to others though. Here's one. https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-tax
  7. Soddit. I broke an ankle stepping over someones dog once. Easily done. GWS
  8. Got a few options open, fairing/tank cam via suction mount when it comes, helmet cam, rear facing on seat via goggle mount and strap, handlebar cam, pannier rack cam left and right sides (should get a nice shot of either side of the bike in frame) or theres screen cam if there's room for the suction mount. I also fitted it to the neck of my guitar for a down the fretboard view and tested it today with regard to mic sensitivity by recording some drumming. The inbuilt mic handled things better than I thought it would. On the whole very happy with it, still to test the burst camera mode.
  9. Too late to recommend the Drift Ghost S HD then.... Maybe more biker focused but up there with even the mk 4 Go pro. Mrs G got mine for my xmas present from some place in Germany and it came with flat and curved adhesive mount, goggle strap mount, handlebar mount, Screw in mount for fitting to bodywork or similar, velcro strap for remote, 16gb memory card, battery, and a few cables etc. Best features include Waterproof to about 8 ft straight out of the box. Wifi remote with LEDs to show you what it's doing. DVR mode with power supplied by USB cable. Rotatable lens so footage is right way up whatever way camera is mounted. More aerodynamic than go pro so better for helmet mount, http://store.driftinnovation.com/uk/cameras/drift-ghost-s I ordered a suction mount, selfie pole, spare battery, external mic, extra curved mounts and a carry case yesterday. Really looking forward to my first blat out on the bike with it fitted.
  10. Too busy to wax lyrical on this just now. Posting just to remind me to rant later.
  11. Yay! Jonnycam. I'm just having a play with grrcam myself. I went with a Drift Ghost as it's more aerodynamic for on my lid, there's a lot of ebay sellers doing aftermarket stuff for go pro as it's been around a while now but the genuine Ghost stuff is still top dollar. Here's a handy linky for some cheap mounts for yours with 3m pads I just paid 8quid for two for mine because there's not much aftermarket stuff yet for mine. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8pcs-Flat-Curved-Surface-Mounts-3M-Adhesive-for-Go-Pro-GoPro-HD-Hero-1-2-3-3-/201076674298?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2ed11a8efa Look forward to seeing your movies.
  12. Book a driving lesson and crash his car into a lamp post. LOL
  13. That's my drift camera all accessorised up, just ordered a selfie pole, screen mount, two curved self adhesive mounts, external microphone, spare battery, and a carry case for it all. All genuine except the carry case which is bigger than the official one.

http://store.driftinnovation.com/uk/cameras/drift-ghost-s Nah mate, I'm not a good enough driver. It's like a Go Pro only better for biking as more aerodynamic and has wrist mounted wi fi

      remote control for it.

      Ah that's cool :)

  14. I'll give you a £ a tin for any Africa Lynx you have in stock.
  15. Best - Drift Ghost S HD camera. And a variety of mounts. Worst - A 50% share in a book about home renovations.... Edit... ^^^^^^^ Doesn't it suck when you get a gift that's for both of you. It's cheap and lazy IMO.
  16. With 2014 drawing to a close what was your high and low spot? Best win for me was passing my bike test after a long long break from riding. Fail of the year was somehow having to wait over six months to complete a cash property purchase. :( What's been yours?
  17. Leave off, they struggle with a slightly damp grassy slope.
  18. Bobbins also act as sliders for the swingarm or forks in the event of a stack...
  19. Playing silly beggars with the ghost S HD today. Great bit of kit. More later.... Happy Christmas.
