  1. I had exactly the same problem with my 55 plate 06 vrs, noticed exactly this problem when I test drove it. Again as soon as it hit 30mph it started at its loudest. It was a faulty wheel bearing and also once they had fixed this the noise was still louder than the norm. They said the previous owner had put bad quality cheap tyres on the rear which was giving excessive road noise, they then replaced the rear tyres and the remaining noise had gone. I'm pretty sure you have 1 or both of these issues. Wheel bearing is most likely. Thanks
  2. Now bluefins are available at the moment for £390 i'm very very tempted. My issue is my insurance will increase by £250 a year and i'm concerned about the effects of installing this. Is it likely to teat or damage my divertor/recirculating valve? I know on the MK1 1.8 turbo this valve is weak and renound for failing. Is this the same on the MK2 2.0 TFSI or have they upgraded this valve and is it more reliable? I dont know whether to get the bluefin or am I just asking for more trouble? I still have a warranty on the car also but they wont like it if they discover its been re-mapped
  3. Guys I had a mk1 octy VRS which I've traded for a mk2. I've had a few problems with it and now the cold weather has arrived I have a noise when turning the wheel from right to left only, they are replacing the steering rack under warranty next week. but I also have like a rumbling noise when I pull away from a stand still, its worse when on an incline as you are giving it more rev's, you can also feel a knock through the pedals, once moving it doesn't exist, the garage says they want to replace sateering rack first and take it from there. I thought it may have been a characteristic of the Mk2 but have driven another and it didn't do that. Also does the 55 plates have a throaty exhaust as when I put my foot down you can hear the exhaust growl. Again my mk1 didn't do this. Can anyone help with ideas on these issues. Thanks
