  1. I was going to run a 12v from a switched wire on the back of the headunit (non standard pioneer) and poke the wire through under the steering wheel and run it up the side of the driver side door and then into my phone.. Is a 12v from the back of the headunit a safe bet or should I aim to put a new wire into the fusebox on the driver side?
  2. Sounds like some fun ideas to play around with.. When I get some time this weekend I will have a play around and let you know which solution I go with. Cheers for the suggestions guys
  3. Ive recently bought a windscreen mount phone holder and have mounted it on the right hand side of the windscreen above the dash. My question is would it be possible to run a phone charger lead from the fuse box below up to this position on the right of the steering wheel..? I have a 12v phone charger and presumably there are some transformers or electronics in this which would maybe need to hidden in the fuse box as well Anyone done something similar?
  4. Ive had problems with the PAS and also flickering lights, also with the flickering lights i notice a small drop of maybe 50-100rpm ish of the engine.. possibly linked? regards to the PAS, i had a complete failure a couple of weeks ago and it went in and had a new pump fitted under warranty and yesterday it decide to pack up again. this time mr RAC thinks it is the sensor or the alternator. Hope you find out whats wrong with your car though
  5. I have decided that i'm not up to wiring this kit into my Fabia I.. anyone in the suffolk area up for installing it for me? Im not sure how much an auto electrician would charge for this but maybe someone could give me an idea? Thanks, Will
  6. http://briskoda.net/fabia-i/rear-disk-conversion/116308/ Enjoy.. looks pretty difficult though! EDIT: On second reading there isnt really any more info in there but the first reply seems to know what hes talking about.. maybe shoot him a message
  7. sounds like a fun project.. I saw a thread about this the other day actually I shall see if I can find it again
  8. more than 80% of the braking happens on the front wheels so there wont be much functional benefit to upgrading to disks apart from the aesthetics maybe?!
  9. The fitting of the actuators sounds do-able but im a bit scared about the wiring. I fear that will be my downfall! May have to call on my Dad to assist on that one. I will have to do a bit more research on how to take off the panels and be able to put them back on neatly! With regards to the wiring.. Im assuming theres a central control box that these actuators plug into and then this is somehow wired into the fusebox? Or is it slightly more complicated than that?
  10. This sounds like a bit more work than I anticipated.. Only got the car 2 weeks ago so I might save this for a few weeks when im on holiday and can have a few days at home dealing with it! What do you reckon the dealer will say if I had to have it go in for some warranty jobs? Or should I wait until the warranty period has finished?
  11. Hi guys - my first post so be gentle =D I have recently become the owner of a W plate 1.4MPI Fabia classic.. with no central locking at all..! I have just checked out rclick.co.uk and the kits seem to go for quite cheap but I'm guessing the labour would be the killer in getting someone to fit the kit. Anyone upgraded to central locking on a similar car? Any ideas how much someone would charge to fit such a kit or if it possible for me to attempt such a feat myself! Any answers would be appreciated! Will
