Just wondering, I've done it once or twice, but usually the other driver looks at me confused or ignores me. :(

I managed to break the rear seat release catch, so I can't drop the seat down. . All I did was pull it up in the normal way and it went. I managed to drop the seat by proddling the clasp with a screwdriver. Looking at the mechanism I've found that where the handle connects to the clasp there is a split pin style plastic clip which has come off one side. Has anyone else done this, and how do you go about fixing it? I can't work out how to remove the old handle. Cheers

Yesterday I passed another 1.9TDI, but on the back his badge was all black, whereas mine and others I've seen has a red DI. It looked a standard Comfort model, but can't remember the age. Is there a difference to the engine and/or model? Cheers/.

I've done the wheel well, boot floor and boot lid with Dynamat Xtreme, and it does dull the noise from the back a lot. I've got enough to do the front doors, but don't know how to get through to the outerskin.

Does the green filter make a difference (pd100)?

Cheers,l i'll save myself -
Its happened to me as well, I was changing the headunit and thought I had broken the wiring/ecu

I checked six months ago, and apparently not enough Fabias have been made to justify making a manual, (even though its over 1million). Are they ever going to make one?

End of the dash, drivers side. I blew one the other day fiddling with a headunit.

It is designed to operate off the key so that you program in the windows winding ranges when you reconnect the battery. (or something like that). I've used it a few times when realised the passenger window is open when I've got out.
-
The battery should be easy to take out, but you'd have to reprogram lots of things when you put it back in. Could take out a few fuses. eg starter motor, fuel pump etc.

Cheers, but I really need the two. Unless someone has a spare drivers cards

I'm after a set of front door cards fairly cheaply. I've checked eBay, but can't think of anywhere else online. Does anyone know anywhere online or in the WestYorkshire area where I can get some. Cheers

General driving I never need to take it over 2000, even on the motorway it'll not go over 2500 often. I average around 42mpg (PD100 5spd) and there's loads of hills round here.

It is well built, i've removed panels to fit wiring for ICE and just looking at the build compared to Ford, for example, is far better. Mine's problem free expect the mirror adjuster switch panel comes out if you pull it, but it was like that when i bought it and I generally don't tug it.

Re-circulating air coming on when in reverse?
Grant replied to Grant's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
wow, they think of everything! -
I've noticed that When I put my Fabia in reverese, the heater/blower goes into re-circlating mode, although the light doesn't come on. It doesn't bother me as I do n't spend much time going backwards, just thought it was a bit strange. Anyone else's do this or know why? Cheers.

You could possibly buy the slide out tray that comes in the Elegance and remove the front off it which sits flush with the rest of the dash. Would set you back around

Cheers Richardsonij, thats a great site. I might do that. They've got Dunlops on at the moment and around half thread left. Just got to find a tyre fitter first. If not I could always eBay them. BTW do you want some tyres ?

Thats a shame, They were going for around

I've been offered some VW alloys with 175/80 r14 tyres on. The wheels on at the moment are also 14" but have 185/60 r14 (standard size) tyres on. Are they safe to use or will they catch or grip the road less. The cars a Fabia PD100 Comfort. Cheers.

Cheers, I thought it was generic throughout VAG.

just wondering if anyone else has had same problem. I went to the local VW dealer and asked them for a sliding tray (the one under the radio) and gave the product number (6Y0 858 332 47H) to him. He bashed it in to the computer and he didn't find a result, we also checked several models of cars on the computer system with the exploded view thing and still couldn't find it. In the end I had to leave empty handed. I got the number off the guide here. Any one know what it is? Cheers.

Usually the re-circuraltor will turn it self off after about 2 mins if the AC is off, but it stays on permanetly if the AC is on. So I presume you can leave it on all the time. The thing that concerned me is the speed they steamed up, less than 30seconds. Fortunatly I was stopped at some lights so I could wipe the glass clear.

Cheersm, That may explain it, but I wasn't paying much attention to the temp. I'll try the same run tommorrow, don't start work till 10 so it should be a little warmer.
