Yes, I've seen this video. I thought it was saloon only, but I can look. Haven't had much time available recently - been decorating!!

Unfortunately I was right about the dealer, whilst they did let a technician come out he was about as much use as a chocolate fireguard! First off he tried to tell me that my car must have an aftermarket system - despite that being checked as wrong by them last week after checking the spec sheets. Then he said there wasn't a separate buzzer but the sound came through loudspeakers! Then he openly admitted that he had no idea where it would be and all they could offer was £140 an hour plus VAT to rummage around to see what they could find!! I really think that main dealers ought to know where stuff is fitted on any car - it might mean they have to buy a workshop manual subscription of course!

Possible radiator fans issue.
I've heard that too. I can see their reasoning.

Thanks Andre I've seen the buzzer pulled out from that position on a saloon car but got the impression that estates were different. I looked in the top right corner but didn't see any wires, but I'll have a more thorough look.

Drivers door wiring loom
I guess we'll need to kmow a bit more about your actual model. I got a new replacement loom of Ebay and the supplier cross checked fitment. Job went OK but still a bit fiddly. Much easier than patching wires though!

Skoda Superb ABS light, TCS light and Brake system light went on
Fault code check essential. My son had same on Audi A6 and the problem was low voltage. A specialist lIad tested each power supply and found a broken cable under wheel arch. Audi wouldn't supply jys controller and wanted £3k for controller and pump 😀😀 If you do have a diff controller then there are a few ECU repairers on the web that fix them for very reasonable money.

Black Front splitter required mk2
Ebay would probably be my first port of call. Dealer would probably be pretty expensive but a quick fix.

Superb 2 2010. 170 rear suspension recommendations
I'd be very disappointed if I could feel deterioration in just a few months! I used Monroe for mine as I'm a pretty steady driver.

Brake Caliper Details - 2015 Superb Estate MK2 170 Manual
Whilst i agree that you sjould chane discs and pads as an axle set. I don't think you really need to change both calipers.

Superb Mk2 Estate boot doesn't open fully
The tailgate isn't powered so it has to be lifted manually. If it doesn't stay up then one or both of the gas struts has lost power. They are easy to remove and check by just pushing closed. They're pretty cheap on Ebay.

Alternator / battery dead, how to get car to garage?
The main ecu is surprisingly sophisticated and drops out 'luxury' functions such ss aircon as battery voltage drops. Yes a fully charged battery should give one start and 30 minutes diving - as you found out driving home in the first pland.

4 wheel alignment results - Superb Estate
Something not right there. If front camber can't be adjusted how come it has changed when the toe in was corrected?
-
4 wheel alignment results - Superb Estate
If they only do toe in why don't they 'advertise' 4 wheel toe in rather than alignment? 😀 Having said that camber is often fixed on many cars like the Superb. My estate wore the inside of the rears very badly despite correct toe in. Replacing the shock absorbers helped a lot.

What to do about a brake pad wear alert?
I can't see how you can get a warning for something that's not fitted! But as you know it's wrong and goes away quickly then live with it.

Possible radiator fans issue.
I wouldn't worry about oil temperature per se. What did the water gauge show? If that's still at 90⁰ then you're OK. If the fans run when tested that's fine

Wheel sizes for 2015 MK2 superb
For what it's worth my 2013 estate came on 18" wheels and the ride was pretty firm. Last winter I bought a set of 16" Octavia alloys and fitted Goodyear all season tyres. The ride quality was vastly improved much smoother and quieter. I expect the ultimate handing will be reduced but that's not an issue for me. Our Karoq is on 19" wheels and is even harsher - may do the same here!

Diagnostic Number 01543 rear PDC buzzer
I have a 2013 estate and am looking for the buzzer for my rear (omay fitted) sensors. Had a look under the RH headliner near where the cables come through from the tailgate but didn't see anything. How fat in is it?

Access rear park sensor module
Do we know where the buzzer for rear sensors in an estate is located?

Thanks, I'll have a look there. I was convinced that the sound came from the front - but to be fair it's been a couple of years now since it stopped working.

Hi All My rear (only fitted) parking proximity system isn't working. VCDS says the buzzer is duff. However I just can't find it! I've looked behind the instrument cluster and I can see the two holes on the right where a lot of people say it's fitted - but it's not there! I've removed the glove box (that's a fun job getting to the screw behind the catch) because other people have said it's somewhere there - but I can't see it! Amazingly my Skoda dealer has said that they'll give me a few minutes time with a technician to look for it but unless he's fitted one in this vintage and type I'm not sure he'll be able to help. Any other bright ideas or preferably definitive information please?
