  1. drivers door window reg and wiring loom that plugs into it. im waiting on word from another member on here about one but if thats not a runner. sue let me know if its available anyway. would need postage to Ireland obviously thanks
  2. have u got the wiring loom from the drivers door aswell, one that plugs into the multiplug on window reg? multiplug has to be in good condition, mine is crapped with water damage cheers
  3. hope im posting in the right forum... i replaced the window reg and loom that goes with in my mk1 vrs. got one from a breakers from a 2000 1.9Tdi when i switched them over i could only work drivers window and door lock with the drivers door buttons. none of the other windows or door locks would respond. someone suggested i might need to recode the ccm..?? ive no experience with vag com apart from checking for faults. does this sound like an answer to get all working again. I plugged my old loom and window reg back in and everything worked ok again except drivers door this time seems like ive messed somethin up... any advice welcome thanks
  4. my mate has a cable and program on his labtop ive used to scan for codes before. is that what you would use to code to work with ccm ill check the numbers but think the sticker with PN on is all gummed up
  5. hey fellas i picked up and window regulator and the wiring loom multiplug at a breakers. from a 2000 estate 1.9 tdi far as i know. put them into my mk1 vrs and now on the drivers door buttons my window works and my door locks but none of the other windows work with drivers buttons and the central locking button only locks my door. is there something i can do to resolve this or is it down to the different model. i could live without the windows but not happy about fact i cant lock/unlock other doors with my kids being in the car... any suggestions much appreciated
  6. Does anyone know if there is a connector on the other end of the multiplug loom that can be easily unplugged and removed? Im on route to breakers yard and would rather have loom in tact as against cutting it off at the door
  7. Does anyone know if there is a connector on the other end of the multiplug loom that can be easily unplugged and removed? Im on route to breakers yard and would rather have loom in tact as against cutting it off at the door!
  8. Drivers door window regulator...is the multiplug in good condition,no water damage? no clue how much post would cost to Ireland. If you want to check it let me know. Probably need couple other bits too
  9. Should have updated this thread ages ago.apologies... Picked up a fuel pump relay from a scrappy for €10 as against €75 the local skoda dealership wanted. Cleared the codes and popped it in and all sorted:) No codes back since either Big thanks to Kentphil for all the help on this!!
  10. 100% spot on buddy. Great stuff thanks a mil!Was one last screw behind the black plastic trim around the lights switch, not mentioned in Haynes either! Does the CCU under there click like a relay when you operate stuff like the central lock.mine does anyway. Another thing I always wondered about is if I open the car and sit in but don't put the key in or turn electrics on the central locking activates all by itself after about 10 secs.real pain in the azz. I have an after market alarm fitted by previous owner and think it's down to that or maybe a fault!?!
  11. no need to apologise. I took the fuel pump relay out already as i had a bunch of fault codes and seems that might be the cause but on another issue i wanted to remove the facia panel to the right of the steering wheel. the one with the lights on switch in it. Ive had problems with water in the drivers door and also saw water sitting in the rubber grommet between the door and the car which protevcts the wires. thought this water could easily run down those wires and into the general area of the relay plate. im not sure where the wires from the door actually finish up or connect in so wanted to get the facia panel off so i could have a good look in there for corrosion etc. ive removed all the screws i can find but the panel still feels well held on ( where the arrow points in the pic i linked in post1) sorry if i didnt explain it clearly earlier
  12. My old man has one so would of been a handy swap to check if mine faulty. i can always ask the garage fella while hes pointing out my mistakes
  13. i reckon so lol get some of my moneys worth back outta them i might recheck that screw u mentioned though first. 90% sure i got it hey do u knkow if the relay in mine would be the same as the fuel pump relay in a 1.9TDi octy
  14. yup it feels free everywhere apart from where i pointed to in the pic i posted
  15. i thought you sold all the bits. how many octy's have you got or do all the parts just make one now
  16. Thanks buddy. i really appreciate it but for the life of me i cant see why the bloody thing wont come out.I have the switches out of the panel and all the screws i can see. doesnt look like anything to do with the steering wheel could be the problem. maybe im just too tired right now. will check it again in the morrow. can always drive to the garage and ask one of the lads nicely to gimme a hand. theyre a decent bunch and only 5 mins away
  17. I want to get access under the steering wheel so was trying to remove the facia panel to the right that sits round to the fuse box. took out the screws and eventually got the black plastic trim around the speedo off without breaking it. Looked like everything that needed to make way was ok but the panel still feels really well held on where you can hopefully see in the pic or just above the arrow point has anyone done this and found same? really doesnt want to budge and near breaking something point Haynes doesnt point to anything there from what ive read! hopefully im missing something...
  18. My buddy has a 07 1.9TDi octavia. would it have the same fuel pump relay to swap into mine to check if mine faulty? popped my one out (says 409 on top) and certainly doesnt look cruddy or melted or damaged anyway
  19. Yep was thinking the very same:) probably safest to disconnect the negative I guess. Electricity scares the bejeebees outta me. I hate doing anything around the house involves wiring. A lot less volts/current in the car but still don't fancied gettin zapped
  20. I have problem with water in drivers door and corroded wires in the connector. I also noticed water sitting in the rubber grommet that protects the wires going between the door and car. figured if water in there in cause easily be running down the wires in under the facia. Im not sure but if those wires run into that plate I thought unscrewing and inspecting might be an idea
