  1. Need help, which ones of these stabilsator rods for the anti-rollbar is the right one? which one should i order? It's for a Octy vRS 2003 1U and im planning on going lower than 40mm, but it seems to be 2 different versions? One with thinner rods? eBay: octavia koppelstangen 40mm, Auto Motorrad Teile, ?koda, Octavia
  2. i like it, love the look of the whole car!
  3. Got any good recipe of the setup that you are running, like a list of parts to go for?
  4. not feelin it. The octy looks best in it's original looks without all the lexus-style look lights and so on :/
  5. Which connector rods are the right ones to go for when going lower than 50mm? I think the ones on the left are the original ones? Do the ones at the right fit a Octavia RS? <-- front ones, are the ones in the back also needed to be swapped?
  6. Hi! The purpose of this thread is to sort out all the questions regarding fitting coilovers and upgrading the chassies on the Octavia MK1. Ask all your questions here and i'll try to recap the info to the first post. So, whats needed to go lower than 50mm all around? Which car parts can you use from another car? What is the next step to improve the cars handling after going for coilovers? Front: Back:
  7. I bought this set all new discs and pads front and back: http://cgi.ebay.de/Rostfreie-Bremsscheiben-GREENSTUFF-VA-fuer-AUDI-TT-S3_W0QQitemZ220332466050QQihZ012QQcategoryZ57406QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.de/COAT-Z-Bremsscheiben-Blackstuff-AUDI-A3-TT-S3-256x22_W0QQitemZ370133224716QQihZ024QQcategoryZ57406QQcmdZViewItem They got cheaper stuff too if you don't want to go for the greenstuffs Rostfreie Bremsscheiben + BELÄGE VA für AUDI TT / S3 bei eBay.de: Bremsenteile (endet 18.04.09 23:40:44 MESZ) COAT Z Bremsscheiben + BELÄGE HA VW Bora Golf IV 256x22 bei eBay.de: Bremsenteile (endet 18.04.09 21:53:47 MESZ) fast shipping aswell
  8. isnt the whiteline treated against rust?
  9. Clean the gas throttle body? Might be as simple as that.
  10. So correct me if im wrong, buying a coiloverkit for the golf will fit on the octy aswell? it's basicly the same car..
  11. In example this "no-name" brand specs the weight as 1030kg in front and 1070kg in the back. Fat Grip Gewindefahrwerk Skoda Octavia 1U NEU TÜV bei eBay.de: Fahrwerke (endet 02.04.09 16:55:05 MESZ) V-Maxx Gewindefahrwerk SKODA Octavia 1.8T 1U bei eBay.de: Fahrwerke (endet 24.04.09 16:52:12 MESZ) Differs ~100 euro between those kits.. anyway, do i need a new anti-roll bar kit or just new drop-links??
  12. Thanks, but one question. by poundages you mean different weight at the axles? because the coils im looking at are speced to 1050kg on front and back so they should be pretty ok.
  13. haha totally agree ;D Seems like the cupra front lip spolier is the only "big" improvement that you can make without destroying the appearance of the car
  14. Well im planning on buying coilovers since i need to change my suspension anyways. Going for something cheap on eBay, since the golf mk4 chassie is the same i'll go for some coils to that car. Anyone ever tried to fit something bigger than 8,5" in the back and got a pic of it just to see how it looks? How does 8,5" look? Im willing to roll the fenders and run spacers if it's necessary. The octy just seems to be a very hard car to style, the golf mk4 takes 10" rims in the back without any probs and you can find nice aftermarket styling withouth any probs but for the octy it's a whole different issue with bodykits making it look like a ricer :/
  15. Im looking at the BBS Le Mans Replicas at BM Autosport and im kinda interested in the wheels in these sizes below and my question is, will they fit? I want a nice stance and some dish in the back.. going for the german look 18x8,5" ET35 Fronts 18x9.5" ET45 Back Will this rub as hell or could i do anything with spacers? Thanks in advance, Tomas.
