Your Octavia should not be that much different to your Fabia on fuel and the road tax isn’t that significant, I have had two Fabia vrs’s and recently changed to an Octavia PD 140 although I would still love another Fabia (My last one was stolen). Must be silver mind and good low mileage ones are hard to find these days, also I might miss the enormous Octavia boot.

Mine did the same and I put a bit of bleach in as has been said, works great never happend again.

Brilliant Thanks.

Does This set looks like a good selection.

Does anybody know the exact size star/ torx security bit that fits the Maf? I bought a set from Halfords an hour ago and had to take it back as not one of them fitted; I think they are five pointed instead of six, which was the problem. Cheers.
-
If they are 205/60/15 like mine, you can get new decent ones for £50 each, probably not far off part worn if you include fitting.

Derek slacks in Middlesbrough has sold several Octavia vRS’s to Cleveland police over the last few years in different colours, one was destroyed right outside the garage on the A66 when a plod pulled somebody over and a bus promptly ran in the back of it.

Nice colour, better than my "Storm Blue' bore metalic.

Drive the deal have a new 1.6cr for 13,800, unfortunatly it has a dsg box but it is a good price I think.
-
A workmate had his 2008 Fabia mk2 1.9 done which is the same ouput I think, it wasn't Shark but it was a vast improvement, smoother and pulled very hard and for longer, also made it tick over less lumpy.

To relieve the boredom of driving on motorways close your eyes as long as you can, then see if you can beat your record.

It will be MSB Skoda.

Chipboost which isn't that far from you do a great job and offer a choice of maps.

If you save all the filter tips from cigarettes, you will eventually have enough to lag the loft.

Drive the deal have this cheap- SKODA OCTAVIA DIESEL HATCHBACK 1.6 TDI CR S 5dr DSG new for £13,800. Probably a cancelled order.
Mind you I don't know how much they are list price, mayby it's not such a bargain.

My dealer is going to replace my wife’s, it is 09 and 59 cars effected, it is not a critical fix so it just gets done at the next service or if the car is in for anything else.
-
Same thing here, a loud pop/bang and no sound, I was about to ring the dealer and claim under the warranty but I tried disconnecting the battery for 10 mins and it was fine again, it’s only happened once in 6 months.
-
On my wife’s fabia both of the plastic plugs that the shelf pivots on have broken off, I expected the dealer would not play ball and try and put it down to wear and tear as she puts a push chair in the boot quite often, I would love to know if it is a common problem, hers is a 59 plate and low mileage

Has anybody taken delivery of a cr 2.0tdi yet? I was thinking of taking the plunge before the vat offer ends. Cheers.

Hi chaps, I woke this morning to a flat battery and I had to go to work on my bike, bizarrely the 2 cooling fans on the radiator were powering up and down on their own, they must have been doing it all night to flatten the battery, anybody seen this problem before? The car is on charge at the moment, I would like to disconnect the power to the fans so I can get to the dealer but I can’t see it! Anybody know where the wires run into the fans?...Cheers.

Cheers for the help, I have dug out the service book and it was last done 1-4-09 and the next due is 1-4-11 so the dealer must have just made a mistake with dates, i will wait for the car to tell me, I have just done an oil change a few weeks ago so it would be a waste to take it in now.
-
Any advice chaps, my 08 tdi 140 is on variable servicing as far as I know and if I hold the trip button in it comes up with 8500 and a spanner symbol, despite this my dealer has just sent me a service reminder. I have had the car about 7 or 8 months so it seems too early for a service but 8500 also seems a lot of miles to do before a service, does the car let you know when a service is due itself? Thanks.

We have 3 Fabia mk2's in the family, The wife my Mother and my sister all have one, and none of them have leaked like my old Fabia vRS.
-
I once got 4 rolls of Loft insulation in, certainly saved on delivery. Also a dead body fits in easy; I don’t have to cut the legs of like in my old Fabia.

45 mpg is excellent for a big fast family car, I would have been very happy with that from my Fabia, are you sure there isn't something else bothering you?
