Does the basic cd radio in the cheapest fabia play MP3 cd’s or does it just have an mp3 player input?
-
Thanks that’s a bit of a relief, I had bought a car without checking how many door it had! What am I like?
The back doors always come in handy.

Hi chaps, just a daft question- Are all Fabia mk2’s 5 door? I have just ordered a 1.2 for the wife under the scrappage scheme to get rid of her old Daewoo and I am not sure if the basic model I am getting her is 3 or 5 doors now I have got home, I have the old model vRS and obviously they were all 5 door…Thanks.
-
It's a vRS, Yes?
Just check on the back, lovey, if it says FABIA, then you've not got a proper vRS.
Take it back and ask for a real one. You can tell if it's real, as it'll have OCTAVIA written on the back.
HTH:D
There goes another rib!
You have done well to have no leaks in 3 years, mine took 3 attempts to fix but sorted now,
That is good advice getting your MOT done early, mine is an 06 like yours and nothing has gone wrong apart from the Bl00dy leak.
-
My 06 Fabia has been into the dealer to get a leak fixed twice now, but it is still leaking in the same place the rear nearside foot well, the dealer claims to have replaced the seals behind the door cards twice but clearly he is looking in the wrong place, the leak is definitely nothing to do with the windscreen washer but has anybody any idea where to look? The car is still under warranty but my local dealer is getting nowhere and I want it fixed. Thanks for any pointers.
-
Cheers chaps will do,. the car is back in Thursday so fingers crossed.
-
Its just the rear passenger side only but plenty of water gets in and the windows are nicely misted up every time I get in, It is still under warranty so will be going back in next week I just didn't want them ripping all the trim off looking in the wrong places, they did say it was a common problem and Skoda make a kit which they fitted last week but it has made no difference, thanks for the replies.

I have just had my vrs back from the garage a week after all the door seals were replaced as water was getting into the rear near side foot well, unfortunately its still leaking in, does anybody have any idea where it could be getting in as only the one place is wet. Thanks Chaps.

Thanks for the link.

Has anybody on here claimed on their warranty for oxidising alloys on late model vRS’s, mine is an 06 and a workmate has a 56 and we have 6 flaking and badly lacquered alloys between us. cheers

Watch out for low bridges, I can fit my giant in the back with the front wheel removed but its not much good after a muddy ride!

There is these for £60ish

Swap the front wheels with the back, this will rule out any tyre problems at least, diagonally if possible

The speakers are very good I think, I just changed the head unit for a nice JVC DAB radio and it sounds great.
-
They come off quick as they use just 2 seatbelt type elastic fasteners, never going to look as good as the original seats but I just can’t keep mine clean.
£55 plus £5.50 postage,
Car Seat Covers, waterproof boot liners, tailor made car mats, 4x4 accessories

Here are the Climate seat covers at last, they took over 3 weeks to arrive as I wanted 2 tone grey and the embroidered logo; they would arrive much quicker if you just wanted plain.
The quality is excellent and they do genuinely seem to be tailor made as they fit very well, cheap halfords ones always seem too tight, I have just spent 15 mins fitting them but I will make more effort at the weekend to get the creases out, I just asked for the vRS logo and I wasn’t expecting the correct colour and typeset so all in all very pleased.

Thanks for the reply I have left the badge in place, I think the ‘rust” is just the glue oozing out from behind the badge, getting the liner back on was great fun I recommend it to anyone.
-
Ok got the liner off, is the badge glued on as I can only see one bit of plastic poking through from the bottom of the badge and it wont budge.
-
Does anybody know how to remove the plastic hatch liner to gain access to the Skoda badge on the tailgate, I want to remove the badge as it looks like there is rust underneath so I can have a good look, there is no obvious screws.
I take it the badge can be removed by gaining access to the back?
Thanks for the help.

If you do get them done be prepared for people waving their fists, (up & down)

I ordered a pair of fronts just last week from Climate so still waiting, £65 inc delivery for 2 tone, they will send you a catalogue and a full set of swatches for free if you fill the online form in.
I will take a couple of photo’s when I get them.

Cleo Laine had pubic hair on her head so don't jump to Conclusions!.
Mind you I once stayed in a guest house in Essex and there was loads of Cleo Laine's in the bed.
