  1. You should see our business park car park....... you think they are common in UK..... sit here in CZ :sun:
  2. Interesting article - seems i am not the only one. http://www.theguardian.com/money/2014/feb/10/skoda-missing-paint-warranty-period And a further four discussions on here. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/239350-paint-issues/ http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/301383-superb-peeling-paint-help/ http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/243526-paint-coming-off-rear-bumper/ http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/221730-my-paints-peeling/#entry2607863
  3. Jesus you must be like a 747 coming down to land...........
  4. I've used pressure washers on most of my cars over 20+ years and never once had this issue......... I never have the lance on full when washing the plastic bumpers only the metal work.
  5. So some might recall that my Superb FL was dunted back in Febuary this year. Back quater, wheel arch and bumper repaired/replaced. On the weekend there i was cleaning the car as i do most weekends with my pressure washer and noticed that some paint had bubbled and flaked off. Today i had the car booked in for inspection of the bumper and low and behold i have a 3 year warrenty on paint which the dealer will not acknowledge for this defect. They clame there is mechanical damage (a scratch) which lead to the paint coming off. I cannot see anywhere where this scratch is or could have been. They are offering to touch up the bumper with s touch up pen. I am not accpeting this and have now had confirmation that the bumper was infact replaced during the repair back in Febuary, which leads me to think there is some defect of the paint work. Regardless if there was a scratch i would not expect the paint to flake off during washing, other wise in year to come there would be no paint left on the bumper. Question is, anyone else occured such defects or problems??
  6. Yes, he is closer to you than me, they are safe for teh time being. Welcome to the White club:
  7. Had mine on for over a week now, i am back looking sleek
  8. Currently i have a 140 VW Passat Estate and a 170 Skoda Superb, to be honest there is not so much difference in fuel consumption, depends on how you drive it and where, but the performance in 170 is second to none when comparing. 170 wins for me, that's why my wife has the 140 VW.
  9. Nearly happened tonight to me, I opened the boot, put my jacket in, including my keys, hit the button to close the boot and walk around to the drivers door, no reaction from the handle after two or three hits. Lucky I managed to get back to the boot and stop it fully closing.
  10. Easy to goggle this topic and find a few variants.
  11. Actually it only holds for 2 or 3 seconds, Unlike the VW Passat which has a electronic brake, so the Auto Hold (hill hold) stays on til your hit the accelerator.
  12. So i got the car delivered back last Friday, 2 full weeks to repair her. Total costs for the repair was 76,000czk, which is roughly 2.5k GBP. Must say i am happy with the repair, still looking to see if i can see any indifference's, but so far none.
  13. and remove the rest assistance, it is useless and you end up ignoring it or switching it off.
  14. If your passing through Prague, let me know if you have time for a coffee...... my office is on the start of D1 :-) Same here in Prague, but i guess we will both test is in years to come.
  15. Enjoy the ride, you have waited a while for it and had to watch some of us FL drivers show our cars off.
  16. This is in fact fire training, all the guys are in fire uniforms and the car was a write off and is filmed here in Prague at the fire institute.
  17. So the car went away this morning, the Skoda garage called this afternoon to confirm that the repair will take longer than a week due to the replacing the back quarter rather than repairing it, plus a new bumper and new parking sensors in the rear. Lets hope it looks are new as it did when returned.
  18. On Paper i agree, but in reality pushing those side seat out a little make a big difference. I was very surprised when I got the superb and found how narrow it was.
  19. Size. I have both Superb FL and Passat B6 estates. Whilst the Superb is longer, the passat is wider in the cabin, with a wider boot space and I can manage 3 infant/baby seats in the passat something I can't do in the Superb due to it being narrower. Cheers.
  20. Before the Superb i was driving Highline Passat and i have to say i do not lower standard in the finishes of things in the Superb comparing to the Passat so i expect an even bigger gap with the Audi. But performance wise the Superb is much tighter than the Passat was, so bring on the Audi.
  21. To be honest the roads here in Prague a generally good, a few pot holes but nothing major. The ride seems the same maybe a little comfy but nothing much. Fuel wise there is also a little difference, but not much, maybe as i drive with my right foot to the floor a lot. But i must say i drove in the Czech mountains a few weeks ago and them dunlop sport winter tires are fantastic and stick like glue. But cant wait til March to get my 18's back on her. She goes into the workshop on Monday, the garage wanted to give me a Citigo as a replacement, i kicked up such a stink i now have a Audi A6 Estate for a week...... :-)
