  1. I will take this mate, pm me over how you want paying. Karl
  2. hi mate, been thinking about fitting the forge BOV at the same time i fit a new Diverter valve, how noisy is the BOV though?? cheers
  3. i think it would be a tight fit with the widths and the ET's, and dont sell them too cheap as they can go for good money on the like of ED38.
  4. ok cheers for the input guys, i'm gonna buy them as he only wants £400 for them as i have helped him out many times on hes car, i may just look into getting some some higher rated springs to compensate for the extra weight after seeing how they feel.
  5. ok been offered a set of coilovers from off my mates 07 plate golf gti, they are KW V2's with the 55mm front strut. Would these fit a skoda octavia 06 plate vrs?? Awesome gti say yes, Demon tweeks say no?? cheers karl
  6. well the alloys arrived yesterday, and a little break in the rain tody so fitted them, i'm liking them and not a bad price for four new 18" alloys and four new Falken 452's £761 all in.
  7. had exactly the same thing happen to me tonight, so will see what your outcome is.
  8. No i was not saying that at all towards Brimma, just that i have done the aftermarket wide/chromed/dished alloys and being 42 i'm more into the OE look. So sorry if it came across that way, it was not meant to be taken that way. Sorry Karl
  9. here is the link to them http://www.rimstyle.com/alloywheels/detail/?car_model_id=10780;wheel=riva_avs_hs;dia=18
  10. oh yeh i forgot to update my sig, i own a 2006 petrol vrs currently.
  11. well been there done that and grown up, i just wanted something that looked a little bit OE but not OE, and trust me in the 24 years of owning vw's i have had my fair share of aftermarket alloys, when i had my corrados i went through 32 sets of alloys in about 4 years, and some of those alloys were 1.5k + in price without tyres.
  12. well i have ordered a set and should be with me on monday, will get them fitted and post a pic up.
  13. well i'm struggling to find a set of alloys that i think suit the octavia, but found these and think they look very OE, plus they are cheapish thoughts on them please karl
  14. all i'm gonna say is leave badger5 to brake hoses and discs/pads.
  15. yeh it is a good bit of kit and has certainly livened up the engine, but i dont like how it looks, i'm looking for a 2nd hand engine cover that i can butcher up to cover up all the engine bits, why are modern engines so nasty to look at without the engine covers one, here is a pic of my 1994 corrado vr6 engine and how nice does that look.
  16. i went to ed38 yesterday and bought off REVO one of there TFSI cold air feeds as i'm getting the octavia remapped very soon, it fitted a treat but god the engine looks horrible with it fitted, so took it off straight away and put it on ed38 to sell. so what can i do with the standard air box prior to getting it remapped?? just an uprated panel filter, or what about a BMC Carbon air box at the end of the air intake hose without an air filter in the engine cover?? thoughts please
  17. also another good way of getting rid of water marks, is use a finishing pad on a rotary or da polisher with some distilled water very finely misted on the pad, yeh i have done this many times.
  18. i havent heard of a product that will not leave water marks behind, all i do after washing my cars is go over it with a http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-and-drying/drying-towels/chemical-guys-wooly-mammoth-drying-towel/prod_1003.html and then after that go over the car again with some good quality micro fibre clothes and some quick detailer.
  19. just spotted these alloys on a vw forum, they will need adaptors but the et is a friendly et55, what do you all think they would look like on a vrs cheers karl
  20. well you can clay it and it wont hurt, just give the car a couple of good washes first, and if you doing it by hand you will be just fine so dont worry. Also just to throw a spanner in the works i dont really rate the AG EGP that highly, it just does not seem to keep the car protected for very long at all, where as this beauty is just amazing, i did my dads 850 csi in february and finished off with that stuff and its still beading off like it was done yesterday. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/sealants/wolf-39-s-chemicals-nano-body-wrap/prod_901.html just my 2p
  21. well are you applying by hand or machine?? if by hand then yeh no problem, if by DA or Rotary i would only use a finishing pad, and has the car got any type of finish on it already??
  22. for the full effect of the EGP best to leave it over night, if you have a garage your laughing, if not then your fate lies in the weather. And if your applying the SRP with a DA or Rotary then your best to mask off the rubbers as best as you can, or just be very carefull not to get the SRP on the rubbers as its a swine to get off.
  23. this is my favourite by far, goes on really really easily and out lasts the megs by a couple of weeks easily. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wheels-and-tyres/chemical-guys-new-look-trim-gel/prod_143.html
  24. i will have a witters towbar from off a 2002 fabia for sale if your intrested mate.
