  1. Yeah I usually just knock it off with a quick tap of the brake which allows for a smoother more passenger pleasing braking action.
  2. Looks like it may have a fault. What do you see on the Maxidot ?
  3. Actually i'm not that far behind you
  4. Bloody hell Shy ! Didnt realise you were 96 !!!
  5. Ok I’ve decided to go for it be back in a year from now to say if my £380 was well spent :-)
  6. No problem but then even though it was an extended warranty it was an ‘extension’ to the full manufacturers warranty so in effect it was exactly the same... I didn’t have to make any claims I just took it in to have it fixed like I did with my 3 year warranty. Skoda are quoting £380 for full component cover for a year with zero excess. My car has done 29600 miles and that’s for less than 10k a year... I still need to do some research on what they mean in the wording by they only cover sudden failures.... That statement makes me a little nervous.. They could say any failure had been developing over time....
  7. If I remember when you purchase with the car years 4 and 5 are exactly like the manufacturers warranty just extended. If you purchased later I think the warranty was still a Skoda approved product but underwritten by a third party... I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong.. Ive not looked at the details yet for the 6th year but would guess it would me similar in coverage to the Skoda third party product. Either way £250 doesn’t seem like a bad deal to me for a full year.... Depending on what’s covered of course ! edit to say yes the warranty you would purchase will probably be the one Skoda are offering me now.
  8. Yes extended warranty purchased when I ordered the car. Mine was one of the very first 280’s in the uk. It had to be purchased with the car to obtain the full manufacturer spec warranty over years 4 and 5. If you didn’t purchase straight away you could still take out the warranty later but it was an inferior product.
  9. If I remember the 2 years was about 600. Probably had around 2k’s worth of claims.... Well not really claim as as I just took it down to the dealer and they sorted just like in years 1 to 3.
  10. My 5 year warranty expires next month ... I've had an email today from skoda offering all component cover for £250 for next year... Not had a chance to look at exactly what that covers but guessing it wont be stuff like electric tailgate struts, Columbus etc ? Anyone have any experience of the extended, extended warranty direct from Skoda ? Cheers
  11. That looks pretty good ! You will have other 272 owners literally convulsing with jealousy !
  12. Ahhhh ! Did someone mention exhaust flaps ?
  13. ive used mine a few times
  14. When did they stop putting 2 umbrellas in ?
  15. Had mine done a few weeks ago as mentioned and the dealer did say they had replaced the whole unit.
  16. Loads including me. Have a search on the forums .
  17. Ahhh cheers mate yes please ! With winter coming I’m def interested. Put me down for 4 please !
  18. ahhh. Ok. I’m on 18’s.
  19. Sorry you’ve lost me ? With which tyre ?
  20. Well here we go again.... I’ve really enjoyed the PS4’s but the fronts are down to 3mm and the rears 5mm.... I don’t really want to go much lower than 2.5 on the fronts so If I swap them next month they will have done around 9k miles. So this time I’m looking for a good compromise again. Only done about 10 minutes research so far Mitchelin Primacy 4 looks promising. Opinions ?
  21. I’ve never heard anything like that in the car although it did sound very much like my stomach after a Vindaloo last night ...
  22. 280 here ... 3 mile commute to and from work in town.... 19-20 mpg. Holiday run to Cornwall ....43mpg.. Smiles per mile v 190 Diesel .... No comparison.
  23. Good deal. I took the extra 2 years warranty at purchase and its probably paid for itself at least twice over maybe more.
  24. This happened to me. Just driving along and stopped working... I did start a thread somewhere have a search. Long and short it just needed a reset which the dealer did not a calibration.
  25. Hi mate all this has been covered multiple times on the forum just have a search 🙂
