Headlight issues, not moving up at start
Baggins replied to Ingper's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Not specifically, just mentioned that an issue with some lights not moving correctly has been put right under warranty. I didn't get an invoice as they will have sent it on to my insurance company. (Cracked bumper) -
Headlight issues, not moving up at start

I recently had my rear radar sensors tweaked. When I picked the car up they said they have updated the lighting software for your potential problem. A trip to the dealer will sort it if it's under warranty. -
Well that's what DM Keith told me.
-
Hoorah I picked it up today. Lesson learned, tick the courtesy car box on insurance renewal. The insurance approved repairer gave it to Skoda Wakefield, they said as it's a static sensor it didn't need recalibration. Just putting back in the same place. They did say they updated the lighting software as some were having issues with the moving lights sticking, done under warranty.

That's the reason I want to retrofit a reversing camera.
-
I cracked the bumper a few weeks ago (fairly certain the reverse sensor didn't beep) on a low bollard. It's been at a repair centre all week, repair fixed but they can't release due to the overtaking sensor needing to be recalibrated. They don't know how to do it so have given it to DM Keith today and they can't do it either, what.....? I want my car back.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Baggins replied to boydeee's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Re winter tyres/wheels what ballpark figure are you looking at and any recommendations? -
I have one, great camera quality. It's hardwired but always seems to be low battery, I might take it in to Half++++ to check.
-
Hi, a question to those that have done a retrofit. What would be a fair price? Also any recommendations in the Yorkshire area?

Blind spot and reverse detection issue
Baggins replied to Baggins's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
I moved the seat, changed profile, copied profile, changed name but it still unticks them for some reason, strange. -
Blind spot and reverse detection issue

Thanks Jeff, no the same key. I'll try the seat thing sometime this week. -
For some reason, recently they are unticking themselves when I get out of the car, all other settings are fine and stay as they should, any ideas?

Columbus Nav Update Woes .....
Baggins replied to andrewmbourne's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Well after reading a few threads on here I wasn't hopeful but just updated first time with no issues. SD card and about 35mins with the engine running. -
if you have DSG knock it left into manual and it will slow through the gears whilst still in eco, or if coasting just tap the brake then it will keep you in a gear until you accelerate again.

I've seen it mentioned across a few threads about the tailgate, and that it didn't close apart from the button on the boot door as a safety feature. More by luck than anything I pressed the fob tailgate button this morning and it closed! It was a hold of the button rather than a press. The Mrs has taken it for the weekend so can't try it again until she gets back.

Hi, we currently have a Superb which I love as our family car. The wife's new job means we may have to get a 2nd car so am thinking about one of these, (used to save on road tax) my twins will learn to drive in it too. We don't have a ton of money to throw at it but what's the best spec to look for? It used to be simple with classic/elegance/LK but it looks like there's loads of types now. Thanks in advance.

This one's driving back from the isle of Skye to Dewsbury, air con on (heated seats on her side, don't ask!) Doing 80 where possible (stuck round Glasgow for nearly an hour)

I love ACC, just realised today that lane assist actually steers and keeps you in lane ( I thought it just went stiff as you went near a line), it realised after a few seconds I was letting it steer and it told me to take control, a few seconds later it gave a quick jab of the brake to "wake me up" had I been asleep, nice to know it's there just in case.

What would owners replace their superb with?
Baggins replied to Whenwillilearn's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Another Superb, simple. -
I have some friends like that, their loss. I just say you "get" Skoda or you don't.
