Yea it's tricky to get the exhaust hot when you have loads of snow. :( I'm trying to get hold of Unit 18 as they are local to me.

Hi, My Octavia has decided it's time to break. My Particle filter light came on Sunday but because of the snow I Havnt had a chance to drive it anywhere. On my way back from work today the Coil light started to flash and the car went into limp mode. Any ideas?

My octavia Vrs is poorly and I would like to know what's wrong with it

I had this a month a go. dealership said it was a faulty sensor and it was replaced under warranty. As well as this light I also had the DPF light come on and off at various points. All resolved now.

Just an update, Driving to work the DPF light also came on. Lunchtime, took the car up the A1 and back for 30 minutes, cleared the DPF but the Exhaust Control System light stayed on. Today the Exhaust Control System light went off. I'm just a tad confused as to what was going on but fingers crossed all ok.

Octavia vRS. I've just noticed that the Control System for exhaust light has come on. It says in the manual that the car switches to an emergency programme to allow me to drive to the nearest garage by adopting a gentle style of driving. I took it up the A1 and theres no problem with the way its driving and certainly hasnt switched to a gentle style of driving. Any suggestions?

Yea but im damned if im going to slide the arm-rest back and forwards everytime i get to a set of traffic lights :P i guess i'll continue to use it for nice air-conditioned beverages

The Arm-rest/jumbo box annoys me too... but I love the car

Hmm... I like I'm also interested to know if anyone has any suggestions on companies which refurbish and colour alloys. I've had a quote from The Wheel Specialist for a full refurbishment, strip refit and balance with a gloss white finish at 300.00 + VAT This seems quite expensive so im obviously interested to find cheaper.

Im thinking about having my 18 inch alloys refurbished as there is a fair amount of kerbing on them (previous owner) but if i get them done im also thinking about having them coloured white. I think white alloys would suit a race blue vRS but would just like to get peoples opinions before i decide to go ahead. Is anyone good with a paint package that could do a mockup pic to help me decide?

Just an update: My compressor should be getting replaced on Thursday/Friday.

Hi Lee, I am in exactly the same situation as you. A week ago my cars air-conditioning started pumping out warm air no matter what temperature it was set at. I called the garage where I bought my car and they scheduled me to take it in. It spent about 1 1/2 hours with them and they told me that they had done a service on it and re-gassed the system but that this did not solve the problem so they would need to spend more time on it. (although the diagnostic tool said there was nothing wrong) They told me that I would need to pay for the service and re-gas but that the further reapirs would be covered under the warranty. I questioned them as to why it was sold to me without servicing and with so little gas. (I only bought this two weeks ago) Skoda approved used car. They have now agreed to cover the cost of the service, re-gas and fix the air conditioning under the warranty. All being well it should be fixed by monday.

Yea I had a few looks at various websites but theres not much for the diesel model. Is there an existing remap for the vRS diesel?

Hi, Im new to these forums and new to owning a vRS. I'd like to look into what possible upgrades I can get for my car. Unfortunately I do not know much about cars! (but would like to learn). If anyone can help me get an idea of upgrades that would be great Thanks!
