So last night, out of a 30 into a National speed limit, floor it and all good until 60, about to change from fourth to fifth and lose power. The remaining 5 miles was painful with no turbo apart from in first gear. Parked up at home, off, back on and fine. Was fine on my 25 mile journey to work too. Am I correct in thinking it went into limp mode? Away soon, but when we get back I will get my mrs to take it to her garage and get it diagnosed. I hope it isn't anything bad as it already needs a new compressor and we need a new dishwasher ££££££ :(

And she cleans up nicely too :sun: And seeing as I am looking after my mum's car, it has been relegated to the road. Still shiny4 days after it was cleaned thankfully

After the new spring and new tyre, decided it needed a good clean 9 years old, 105,000 miles and comes up ok I think -

and a new OSR spring needed as the current one has snapped! FFS, does explain the occasional knocking that I put down to over sensitive hearing on my part. Going to be an expensive trip :( -

Swapped it for the C Max so that the AC could be looked at and the annoying vibration from the offside rear. Compressor on the AC is on its way out, but is still going, but the rear wheel was because the weights fell off, apparently a hole/gash which is quite scary as I have done a few miles on it. Glad it never gave out and I can only assume it was on the inside as I had run my hand around the tyre when it first started playing up -

Bolero - organising the SD

Paul, you need to place one song in the root on its own, start the mix from that and go from there. I need to sort mine as a lot of the new songs I added without using the Bolero software that was posted on here aren't in track order, but a-z. -
My brolly is too small and smacks the side unless I pack that box out with hats and gloves :(

Well it seems that work being slightly busier and me with my head on correctly, I am more than happy being in my Octy and quite fancy seeing 150k on the clock. Why trade in a car I know, doesn't cost a great deal and works? Yea, silly 5 on my part; as you were

hehe, for a 1 litre eco box, it went ok especially in first or second. Hard life though, brakes were awful and it has only done 30,000 miles -

Did the reset only a month or so ago. Will check the temp sensor in the top box. I am sure I remember it being there before, but it is possible as they are quite loose. Wife has taken mine to work to get the vag guy to have a look, see what he thinks. Excuse to use hers and then fill up with super diesel by accident, 12p a litre more! Hope the little C max appreciates it, my Octavia doesn't get treated that well!

Might have to give my mate a call and borrow his vcds. Thanks guys And Phil that's a good shout. Will have a look tomorrow night

Tonight it took 30 mins to get cool air out and that was me starting on 23 and slowly taking it down. I had it on low for quite some time and the air was freezing and then started warning up before hooking again If I put it on low straight off, it just pumped out hot air. Last year it was topped up, no leaks etc so not sure what else it could be [emoji29]

I would say between 12-15k would be my budget and my car has been remapped since 6 months after I bought it and stage 2 really isn't an option. I really fancy an out of the box car that has bluetooth, streaming, etc so I don't have to mess around with it like I have with the Octavia.

My 2007 Elegance is estate will have been with me for 5.5 years very shortly, the longest I have owned a car for and I fancy a change. Fancying and affording are 2 different things, but with my girl starting school soon, there may be enough nursery fees available for a car. We just bought my wife a 2011 Grand C Max so I no longer need a big car, but I like the toys that come with the bigger cars. On sunday I sat in a 2015 Focus, the Titanium X model so came with pretty much everything. Although this is quite high priced at the mo, it is not silly money. Question is do I really want to change from a Skoda, the Octavia has done 72,000 miles in the last 5.5 years costing me only the usual wear and tear items and returning a nice 52.4mpg. When I look at the Rapid of Fabia, I am not keen on the lack of toys and as I am in my car for 2.5 hours each day, I like to be sat somewhere nice. Ideally would like a 2l diesel next time for the extra ponies, a newer car means the tax has been fiddled down anyway. Golf probably too much, not too fussed about the Leon, A3 saloon is lovely but over budget. Any other suggestions?
