  1. The songs locked in Itunes format can be unlocked using a thing called SoundTaxi, otherwise you leave them behind, as for the SD card thing have a read of the Bolero & SD card saga. http://briskoda.net/...e__hl__playlist Still want to bother with an SD card? MDI & Ipod is the easiest route for you if you have loads of locked songs.
  2. Yep. Just select your entire music library in Itunes & then tell it to convert the lot to MP3, then just copy all of the MP3s it created onto the SD card, but it's far simpler just to use an MDI cable & a Ipod, no transfers to a SD card, just plug 'n play.
  3. Ipod connection without a shadow of a doubt. It (Ipod) holds more at better quality & you don't have to create play-lists if you want the mix function to work.
  4. Well I'm typing this in on the dolphin browser, I'm wondering if it will make it!
  5. Don't forget to let us know what it's like! BTW what box does it have?
  6. It doesn't seem to matter which method of posting I try, I reckon 99,8% of the time comes up with "Tip: click inside this box to load editor" in the box, I double tap to do it and the box flashes green & no keyboard appears and it won't appear no matter how many times I try to double tap it. Even when I do get it to take the text, as soon as I press post my text goes into the ether & I get a blank box with the error "You must enter a post". I'm getting more & more frustrated by it.
  7. The EVO 4 is unlikely to come to the UK as it's primarily designed for use on the US telecom co. Sprints 4G network, something that we don't have and are unlikely to get for some considerable time bearing in mind that the current mobile networks seriously overbid for the operation of the 3G network. Video calling is seldom used as they charge too much for it 60ppm on average. Nah not for me.
  8. This phone is baffling me, one minute it will post the the next it won't.
  9. Well I give up! I've tried double tapping in this Fast Reply box & it goes nowhere, then it will accept text, but as soon as I tap the post button, I get an error message saying "You must enter a post." even though I've just managed to type a whole load of words. If I don't get that it then goes to a review of the whole thread! WTF! I'm starting to wonder if I did make the right choice in choosing an android phone over an Iphone!
  10. So why does this thing only like working in portrait mode? Why is it I've just had to go to the PC & edit it!
  11. I've tried to and it just won't do it, I'm getting really ****ed off with it!
  12. Tried that & it doesn't pop up (in all meanings!)
  13. Is it just me but I've tried to post on the board using a HTC Desire and I can't because the keyboard won't appear!
  14. One thing you should do before you even consider doing a remap is to check with your insurance company to see if they'll continue to insure you or how much extra they'll charge you to cover the car. You may find that because of the hike in premiums it's not actually viable. If you do it the other way around & get the remap first, you may find that you're not covered at all if you were unfortunate enough to have an accident on the way home from having it done.
  15. As I said I got my HTC Desire today and after a load of swapping numbers, installing memory & sim cards I took my phone down to the car and paired it up within about 3 minutes. It didn't want to know at first but that was probably down to my inexperience with the phone, but it works ok!
  16. Oh yeah.... Cheers for that! I've been going around in circles all day and the UM is about as clear as mud. Then again it may be my age! :(
  17. MY HTC Desire arrived today and I've inserted the sim card of my old phone into it but I want to erase all of the old numbers on the sim card, any ideas on how to do it?
  18. I suppose you want that comment made a Sticky...
  19. Personally, I think the OP would miss the grunt of a 1,9 engine, so to replace it & not to miss the grunt factor, I think that a 2,0CR 140 would be the best option as it wouldn't need to be worked anywhere near as hard as a 1,6CR. I know that I miss the torque of a diesel since the move to petrol & I'll be returning to diesel asap because of it & the economy of diesel.
  20. Get the 2,0CR 140, if it's as good as the old PD engine in torque then you'll love it, from what I've read elsewhere on here, the 1,6 needs to be worked reasonably hard to get real ooomph. Which would suggest it's more suitable for more lightly loaded cars, than fully laden ones.
  21. That may well be a US market only phone, as it's currently only supported by the US Telecoms company Sprint.
  22. Best, easiest option? Install an old Ipod on the MDI socket or MP3 player on AUX socket & set it to Shuffle. Job Done!
  23. Fully documented here already: http://briskoda.net/...__hl__sd%20card Please don't get me started on what I'd describe as the biggest pile of cack for a ICES, namely the Bolero radio!
