how do you turn down the EGR valve ? mine is leaking after posting photo's of mine on a thrad i made. i paid for mine to have 3 years parts warrany so i should be able to have it replaced right ? available car castle donington.

the place i got it from (available car castle donigton) had a few and they all had it , the bloke who dealt with us had a vrs too and said his did it , it had one of those 200+ checks so surely it cant be breaking already ? is this an easy fix ? eg - while i wait ? thanks ric04vrs...

had this fabia vrs for 2 weeks now and cant fault it at all , when i was looking over it before i brought it i noticed some oil near the top of the engine, cleaned it a bit but now 2 weeks later its back ? is this normal ? were is it coming from ? its also under the cover on the foam.

thats what i did , used the same little bit of snapped in half hacksaw to cut the back plate out, loads of room now and all fite perfect.... mikesm56...theres no room on top of the stereo mate, cutting the back plastic case out works perfect.

i have just brought a vrs 56 plate fabia...love it , best car i had by a mile.... i managed to get the stereo out using a broken hacksaw blade like id seen on here.... then over came another problem of were to feed the sub power through from the battery(behind glovebox) thanks again... now no matter what i do i cant get the stereo to stay in , i have just one set of RCA leads coming from the back.... i brought a fabia facia plate from halfords si ive sorted the doouble din problem..... but the stereo looks stupid sticking out , about 2 cm's.... under the stereo is a coin tray thing,.... i took this out and the stereo and the tray has like a spike coming out which goes into a plastic bracket.... same as the stereo , it touch's the bracket and even when i feed the wires behind this it sticks out... is it safe to remove this bracket ? ? ? id get the 2cm i need i think by doing it...

welcome mate . im new to here too as i just purchased a fabia vrs yesterday and if the octavia is anything like mine to drive then you'll be very happy as its the best car ive owned/driven. members on this forum are very helpful and friendly with very wuick replies to posts i made.... wishing you happy motoring : )

nothing about locking in thread tools, the guide is very handy, when the search is used nothing really comes up to help with amp wiring etc?

how did you get power to the amp as i cant find any way to run the red amp power cable from the battery to the boot(fabia vrs) thanks...

ive just brought a magic black fabia vrs.... installed my sony dab haedunit , all wired up apart from i cant find any way to get the sub power cable from the battery to the boot ????? please help me....

i have managed to get the standard stereo out using a hack saw blade cut in half , changed the red and yellow wires over so that it turned off when the key is removed(both these thanks to forum members) ...... managed to get my RCA leads passed through from the back of the stereo, the same with the remote... then my plan came to an end...i cant find anyway to get the amp power lead from the boot to the battery..... please help as im sat in the car now on the laptop.....only got the car today and have already fitted a cupra R splitter and this is really annoying.

Thanks to all who replied and all who viewed too , rang seat garage in derby after seeing on here how cheap a cupra R front splitter is, they said £23 and they have loads in stock , ebay charging £40 so thanks to briskoda already . i goto a decent spray place in derby and there gonna do my front grill magic black instead of silver , so car is gonna look nice virtually straight away for hardly anything : )

Hello everyone on here , i am very happy to be taking collection of a 56 plate fabia vrs on tuesday. magic black with 27k on the clock. Been a member of a few forums over the years with different cars ive owned , mgrover.org - saxperience.com - mg zs and saxo vtr. Hopefully this car will be miles better on fuel and have way less visits to the garage. Seen a few mods i want already, colour coded front grill , pd160 intake and re-map.
